Odd that, I can't either but the link looks good. Ah well, find the thread called I am not a number - it is all in there.

I thought it's something like where you are in the queue, to be put against the wall, when the revolution comes.

i.e. "You'll be 6629th against the wall when the revolution comes, mate!".

I'm 9747th.

I think they'll leave Pentax users until they've dealt with the canon and nikon owners first, so we have a little time.
Lurking is shirking.!

All that I can see on there is JR's supposition that it's needed to obtain some discounts. Unless I've missed the news bulletin there is no explanation from the "Organisers"

It reminds me of the great Leonard Cohen quote during his last tour
Quote:
I've taken a lot of Prozac, Effexor, Ritalin, Wellbutrin … I also plunged into a rigorous study of religion and philosophy ...
but cheerfulness kept breaking through

Ah yes, now I understand, thanks Gwyn.

As for the revolution, who do you think's doing the shooting comrade?

The number is very close to my blood SG, but not quite...
Cheers, HG

Mustn't forget the Zenits, or folders, or...

OK, this is photography speak I know but..

I was looking at what kids cameras are available for my grandson. I had a look at Amazon, and did a search - Toys&Games, Electronic Toys, digital cameras, all ages.
Most cost between 20 and 60 quid, but one, on page 3 of the list, costs 4899,00 GBP .
Only two left in stock so I'd better hurry and by my nearly 5 year old grandson a Leica M9

Yay!! Now that's what I call thinking ahead and careful planning!

The twins are 13 days old now and still not sleeping properly, last night was a nightmare, grizzly and crying most of the night with wind, hunger etc so having to limit to one a night - one single measure
Margaret is away on holiday, so I won't get complaints about snoring

I take it, apart from the sleepless nights, the twins are doing fine?
