He is coming tomorrow. It's his last school day before the summer holiday today.

I have spent the morning hobbling around from doctor to hospital to other hospital.
Doc wanted to check my ankles. She decided one could be broken after all - so off I went to the hospital for x-rays. Drove to the big hospital in the next town, parked as close as I could - which was still a mini hike away from the entrance, then along a corridor only slightly shorter than the Great Wall, down a set of stairs and along another corridor. Finally got to the X-ray department. At least I didn't have to wait long.
No break, just bad sprains. I also needed a blood test - so back up stairs and along yet another corridor only to find the queue was from here to Christmas, so I headed back to our local outpatients and had the blood test done there. Add to that the weekly shop and this mornings dog walk, and I'm about done for. The dog is looking at me again as it is now time for his afternoon walk, but he will have to wait. I need to put my feet up for a bit.

Only another 3-6 weeks of this to go.

I can understand HG's generosity in trying to warm Glasgow up, but what he doesn't realise is all those greenhouse gases created by burning that much electricity are having a negative effect on the climate, and thats why Glasgow is so cold, Catch 22 in a nutshell

...should I mention the fan has one of those photvoltaic cell things that powers it...

....so no CO2 or other emmisions....

......and being made in China last year I think doesn't count!

OK!

So my better(?)half has just tried to cut the end off her thumb with the mandolin in the kitchen. It's OK though, she didn't get any blood in the cabbage.

Whilst sticking her back together with steristrips a fly has landed in my beer, is it bad manners to ask it to spit out before I rescue it?

Sod it, I need a drink, the fly's out and I now have to make tea!

My elder grandson [ aged 16 ] arrives on Thursday for a week - to do things like weed removal He is expecting to use the PC Lappy while he is here but when he opens the lid he's going to find

From IT Support

Please note for every toolbar that is installed one finger will be physically removed without the use of any anaesthesia .

Also there is AntiVirus running on this machine - the addition of any other AV, malware etc detection software will cause the IT support technician to roll a dice , and the number of toes removed [ again without anaesthesia ] will equal the number shown on the dice .

..........

Think I'm making myself clear ?
