And Hurtigruten has just left Trollfjord on its way up North.

I've been following that too Terry. Reliving my February trip. Seeing things I didn't see because it was dark .

If I can learn it anyone can. And make a better fudge of the pronunciation that the Coast team did on last night's programme. .

I should have had my holiday to be away now, avoiding all that grunting, Cliff Richard and rain, but sadly they wouldn't move the fiesta.

I'm not convinced it is a suitable (safe) family car, with two young children to be transported in it, but who am I to argue? At least son is very happy. He has already raided all our non metric sockets etc so he can work on it.

That brings back childhood memories of sitting in the back of my grandfads landy being transported to agricultural shows and christmas pantos - bouncing up and down on hard metal benches with no seatbelt or restraint whatsoever!

I thought being in the low countries it would have had a snorkel, to be safe.

Obviously a Landrover is essential here for negotiating the Dutch mountains.
I won't suggest the snorkel - he'll probably want to fit one in any case .

It has an LPG installation so it shouldn't be too expensive to run, plus it is so old he doesn't pay road tax on it. Insurance - just €71pa. Maintenance? Who knows - but at least an arm, a leg and every free day he ever has I would guess.

It isn't the bonk------bonk-----bonk-----bonk that bothers me so much as...

"Bonk"-UUUGHHHHH!
"Bonk"-AAAAHHHHHHHHH!

Some of them sound like an air bed from which someone has just pulled the plug!

Never mind, ordered my new 50-135mm, organised selling my Discovery and will be hunting Subaru Foresters from now on. Found a possible at a dealer in Birmingham which I might be able to go and investigate this weekend, if everything else lines up.

That old 109" should be a pretty safe family car. They generally come off better than whatever hits them, providing you have decent seatbelts fitted.

Pointless?!!

How can I, of all people forget that?

For any body in France, it looks like Pentax France are doing a cash back on all new K5 options.

Don't know if it's a good deal but still.

Now I'm back in the UK I'm getting depressed again, I caught the news, libya, greece, and all the other stuff...

... I want to go back into limbo abroad!!!
Cheers, HG
