Last night Norwegian Television started a marathon TV programme: Following the Hurtigruta (M/S Nordlys) all the way from Bergen to Kirkenes. It will be the World's longest TV programme with 134 hours altogether, and a TV crew of 22 persons.
Just now they are on their way to Aalesund after visiting Geiranger Fjord.
For those able to watch NRK2 it is worthwhile to have a look. And not a single commercial! It is also available on nrk.no

Only recently started after the sad demise of Stieg Larsson - my sister- in -law was raving about him so I bought a couple on Amazon - now got three more - so far The Snowman,The Redbreast,Nemesis,The Redeemer and Devil`s Star - absolutely gripping and I love Harry Hole as a flawed "hero" cop.

The things you miss. In Tongue in the far north of Scotland. And unlike almost everywhere else on this island it is blazing sunshine. Feels odd to have a 3G wireless connection and be in touch with the rest of the world!

Just back from our week in the sun. When I saw the weather here I wanted to turn around and head right back again. Sadly the next flight is a week away.
A lazy week, not many photos taken after the day at the fiesta on Saturday.
On Monday I managed to fall and sprain both ankles, which didn't help much. And that was before I'd had any wine .
I shall be spending the weekend cleaning up my PC - it is full, no room for 12 GB of Fiesta photos - so I won't mind the rain too much.

I've been to Tongue, we went round it a few times looking for the A836. Could not believe an "A" road would be single track with grass up the middle.

Let's sing some more then, i'm curious if you know this song
What shall we drink, for seven days
What shall we drink, oh what a thirst
What shall we drink, for seven days
What shall we drink, oh what a thirst
There's plenty for everyone, so we drink together
open the cask, yes, we drink together, not alone
There's plenty for everyone, so we drink together
open the cask, yes, we drink together, not alone
What shall we drink, for seven days
What shall we drink, oh what a thirst

...which is a problem as we're going out with some french friends in Annecy tomorow night!
It's a good job Jean Michel speaks fluent Franglaise, as I do, after a bottle or two of the local wine/beer/liquer...
Just done a little over 400 kilometers today, driving OVER the Col de la Bonette, the highest pass in Europe, and on to Annecy.
My driver has really enjoyed herself, and the views were superb.
