As you can see my avatar has just made 200 posts and to celebrate I thought it was about time that a picture of some sort accomapanies it.
I'm leaning towards a cartoon but I can't draw so as a mini-competition what would you offer along the lines of a frog in boots/wellies with a camera and long walking stick.
The alternatives would be :-
A- A photo of me - realistic or distorted - not my first choice.
B- A photo of a celebrity (Arnie style?) or animal/bird/bug/flower portrait - but what?
C- An abstact picture of some sort.
What are your thoughts?. -- Help me out here please.
regards
Bernard

An avatar should be a representation of how you wish to be portrayed to others on the site - I use a shot of me sat on a Formula 3 racing car at Oulton Park aged 50,a shot taken on the banks of the Severn at Oatfield contre jour,a shot of me in full kitchen whites at work ,and a shot of me in a straw hat taken by my daughter in a store.
Depending on the site, I use whichever suits.

...and very fetching it looks... I used to do a sprint at Oulton Park and I rolled the Mini in my avatar there.

I got 3 laps with an "expert" in a souped BMW and 10 laps in a racer - trouble was I`d driven there at 90mph ( in a BMW 320i Auto )and they didn`t like me going that fast on the track !!
Best fun I ever had with my clothes on Barrie - just like my old Lotus 7 but way faster ............................

I don't have a beard, but apart from that my avatar does pretty much look like me at work. It's just a pity I can't add sound. Although my relentless swearing at the heap of junk I'm made to work with every day would probably get me thrown off the site!
But on the subject of cars, the Audi A6 quattro is an amazing beast, but I do miss the "taking your life in your hands if you drive on a wet road" feel of my old SL500.

I saw an old 2.8 quattro coupe today and started thinking.... however, the guys seem to be of another opinion, so I don't believe that will happen. Ah well, I can practice on gravel anyway

Never gave it a thought until now.
Seems mine says I'm a plant!
As for cars, well a scruffy, but well used and loved Fiat Punto says it all..

What do the Yorkshire Ripper, The Marquis DeSade and Me all have in common?
Hint, Happy Birthday to me, Happy Birthday to me!

Happy Birthday 'spider.
I'll have a drink for you on the ferry tonight.
Just realised that my key board may be on the way out, I'm having to check carefully as it sems to keep missing on certain keys, good job I use a spool chicken.
