Ah! so that explains why you felt the need to buy a new oneYou can wash cars?!!!
Company car and all that.
We're not supposed to wash cars at home but at the car-wash is OK because they recycle the water.
Still no idea when it the new one will be ready - the Japan Earthquake means unknown delivery. Originally it was going to be 1st week of April, now maybe mid June if we're lucky.
I'm glad it is a company car we're waiting for and not our own. My Kangoo has to soldier on for a couple more years yet.
Right, now I must get myself sorted and pack some clothes for this trip. Trouble is it may only be three days but the forecast is so variable I don't know who to believe. So I guess I have to take more than I may need to be on the safe side. Tomorrow may or may not be really hot, Tuesday will definitely be cool and wet, and Wednesday is anybody's guess. Grr.
And I still have to decide on what lenses to take. I may give the Bigma an outing .

Do you mean you have to pay good money to wash your car in someone else's filthy water!

we were out today at a new stables for the first time and managed to find a decent "nuotiopaikka" ('fireplace') - which was a decent, real one, and at the end of 10kms of rapid gravel track
It's going to be fun in the winter, I can see that already.

Harsh words from a newcomer. I don't know where you perceive the "back slapping" because I don't see it. And there are quite a few photographers here who use Pentax professionally. If you hadn't actually paid in to be a PU Plus member I'd wonder if you were trolling, but it makes it less likely.

Ummm - I would remind you that this thread [ the pointless one ] is not supposed to have anything remotely photographic related on it .
Perhaps you would like to review what you have entered and perhaps modify it a wee bittie ?

This was how I broke the best
Indifference, overblown with confidence and ignorance
It all made sense
And then I watched them take the test
I believe it’s better to inflict than to attempt relief
You ask me what you need

too bad they are no more

What???
Just for your information it's a song, a really smart song by that, turn a love song tune into something like that but actually it still sounds optimistic.
And here we are listening to pop music and missing master pieces like that.
But well it's the pointless thread and it's getting quite pointy now ^^;

I found a second use for those plastic bowls salad comes in today. Combined with a leftover pack of modelling clay I should have a fairly decent ornamental bowl (using the plastic one as a former) when the clay hardens. Always assuming it doesn't fall apart when I attempt to remove the former!
Pointless enough?

Well I did try to make a beaker or something similar but the sides kept collapsing and looked rough. The former should mean the top is fairly even and the surface is fairly smooth!
