I gave up Latin at the earliest opportunity. 2 years of torture was more than enough.

On my own this evening. His nibs is being fed by his company and so will be home late. Couldn't be bothered to cook for myself so just had a salad. I could have sworn there was a bottle of Chablis in the fridge but no, not even a cider left.

Seller has left feeback now and its a done deal so now I can come clean. My OM1-n and Olympus 21mm £3 special off a boot sale has sold/selling. The lens went for £248 and the camera in its broken state is currently on £3 so that was a nice find
That's astonishing!

Time to buy an LX or some interestingly rare Pentax glass?

You can talk photography in this thread, but what you say has to be pointless e.g. "should I buy a Canon"

And failed
My best mate at school was the daughter of a couple of Mackems - she even spoke with the accent even though she'd only ever go there on holiday to visit her Gran.

Come now you and I both know once a Mackem always a Mackem. There's just no way to hide it - and why would you want to.

I see you miss out on the Olympic flame visiting you. You will just have to be brave and visit Tyneside for the photo op.

The flame is apparently visiting Aberystwyth. I won't be, at least not on that day!

The BBC has evidently been briefed to drum up support for the whole olympic business, despite the fact that, as usual, it will overwhelmingly take place in London and provide very little economic benefit for the rest of the UK. If it was taking place in, say, Birmingham I might be slightly more supportive.

I failed French CSE at school, I got a (very proud of) unclassified!!

Apparently my Yorkshire accent caused a few problems for one of the examiners.

Now though, after a few bottles of wine Jean Michel and myself talk fluant Franglais.

Ah! the joys of having friends abroad.

I always find it usefull to be able to order beer in the local language, especially when in the Newcastle area!
Cheers, HG

K110+DA40, K200+DA35, K3 and a bag of lenses, bodies and other bits.

Mustn't forget the Zenits, or folders, or...

PPG entries.
