It must be Christmas, the house is full(er)!

Honesty's home for the hols, Joe's come down to see her, M's still at work but when he gets home...

We've finally got the tree up and decorated,as well as most of the house, time for a beer...

More Beefheart folks .

I finally got our tree decorated too. I was supposed to have the sprogs again but snow stopped that so I got on with the tree instead.

Drat and double drat

I have my first frozen pipe

Washbasin in the downstairs ' utility' room - is a shower room but the washing machine drains into the waste pipe from the wash hand basin .

How did I find this out ? Filled the washing machine and started it working then rinsed my paws and found the darn water was not draining.

Now that bathroom is actually heated overnight so I'm really irritated - and of course I've had to turn off the washing machine and now I've a load of wet washing in it

Back to the kettle trying to thaw out this pipe
let the education continue

Did the earth move for anybody on the forum last night,

(sorry its the "Buildings wobbled and the ground rumbled after an earthquake measuring 3.5 on the Richter scale shook Cumbria and neighboring counties." story)

No, but I was awoken by the 'Dudley quake' of a few years back (thought a lorry was colliding with the flats downstairs, thought 'meh there's nothing I can do about it' and went back to sleep), and the one in North Wales when I was a kid (most exciting thing that happened that holiday!)

The downside for Christmas is having to tidy the house!

You get one room clear and another needs doing, then the next, then the first...

Still I'm not doing it Mrs HG is...

...and don't I know it?
