Can someone tell me how Ann Widdicombe has gone from one of the most reviled politicians in the land to national treasure on Strictly?
Not sure about national treasure, more Buster Keaton, although I think they should pin a medal on Anton Du Beke.

Well the fact that she is still on it implies National Treasure.
I agree Anton du Beke should get a medal - but hopefully not the glitterball. I wouldn't be shocked by it though.

A number of carefully crafted tv appearances have done her no harm.

well, the 7d overheated.

I am *not* impressed.

We did find a lot of tricks, though, and I'm a lot wiser about how to fix focus and work it with the talent and also just how much can go wrong....dual batteries were enough, as was the 15-85, working at the 15 end a lot of the time.

very interesting day, kinda looking forward to the next one, just hope it's a bit shorter day than the 11 hours of this one

Ok back to ebay, why start an auction at 99p then slap a reserve on the item.

An AGFA I'm watching has gone over £8.00 and not reached the reserve!

Tight vendor or what?

As for Widiwotsit, well it's a laugh!

As far as I can tell from other forums you seem to have the only duff 7D in the world.

Bad luck mate.

It's only a rental so I'm not going to worry too much

Also that gives me the opportunity to talk someone into a K5.. maybe. See the other thread on that subject.

I doubt that the evidence of one knackered hire camera is going to convince anyone of anything.

If I were you, I'd be having a fairly succinct conversation with the hirer.

sorry. Snow due tomorrow. 2-4 inches. First real dump of this winter. And as it's due to hit Helsinki, anything could happen. -10 outside.

I've one my best to get it back to pointlessness.

I've got another rotten cold. I must pick them up from the grand-kids I think.

Husband drove to Paris again today - that's the third time in four weeks. The other week he drove to Kiel. So he goes away and I don't even get to use his car while he's gone .

The best similar experience?

You're 20 and your parents go on holiday for three weeks leaving you with the keys to Dad's brand new company car which is insured for all drivers. Renault Laguna TD shortly after release when they were cool, it's just about run in and you've got the whole road network of Mid Wales (which the likes of Evo magazine come to play with regularly) to explore...

That was me in 2002!

Not raining here, at the moment!

My boots, jacket gloves etc. are still wet from yesterdays slight drizzle, sorry I mean heavy rain!

The boss (at work) has promised me new waterproofs, boy do I need them.
