I'm quie impressed with your Penquin Dave, and very surprised to see the little red dots, tell-tale signs of Infra Red AF assist why not get it brass plated and sell it to Father Ted, I understand he's getting into the Steam Punk thing

I used to use a Kershaw Penguin, when I was but a lad, and it saw me shoot my roll of film every year from ages 8 to 11 I guess.
Quality was dreadful, the lens wasn't parallel to the film plane and the film drifted in storage so frames overlapped.
Apart from that, a fine bit of British camera design!
Sounds like another fine bit of british engineering - the Land Rover I used to use a Kershaw Penguin, when I was but a lad, and it saw me shoot my roll of film every year from ages 8 to 11 I guess.

Can't say I've ever noticed the film drifting in storage. Is that something that happens to Defender owners?

I did enjoy driving our Series 2A - it had the obligatory spider and moss growing in the window channels
Daughter number one learned to drive in it - but failed her test the examiner was tiny and really struggled to climb up into it - he got his own back on her
Second test was done in a driving school car - instructor chuckled when he heard the saga - she drove the wee car once before her second test and this time passed Straight back to the Land Rover then

Little Chloe quite fancies it too !!!!

I think most cars I've come into contact with have a resident spider. They usually live in the mirrors with occasional forays to spin webs between there and the door.

Freda doesn't have a resident spider - but I'll agree that Hagar and Amaryllis did . Strangely enough my daughter's Land Rovers did too
