Another pointless thread

I was promised I could retire at 65 when I signed up for full time employment all those years ago.

Now I'm told I won't get e state pension until I'm 70 and the government is trying to steal my works pension from me.

This all goes back to a certain Mrs T!

She sold our country to the highest bidders and didn't care about the future.

Successive governments have just compounded the misery to come.

Rant over, its raining here now.
Cheers, HG

She's the reason we're now in the Netherlands, and in the situation we are. She's got a lot to answer for

He'd be retired now on a nice civil service pension if it weren't for her

Well OK we're mostly to blame, but she is guilty too.

Let`s not spoil a perfectly good thread by discussing Politics OR religion - life`s too short for recrimination and just remember the glass is always half full not half empty.

Same ol, same ol. Still at least it's not raining in Edinburgh. Autumn is on its way here. We gave summer a miss again. Still, the Autumn Rugby tests will be here soon.

Raining cats and dogs again. So I am soaked again. Very much autumn here. Way too early imho but what can you do?

Maybe we'll get a good October???

The one thing I don't want this winter is snow. I hate snow. It is fine to look at but daily life is just horrible in snow.

Hmmm - I think since we have a wee bit of sun [ on and off ] and some huge black clouds at times and my homework is not really done I'd best put some Fuel into Freda the Freelander and head out to try and get some 'pretty pics '

Will I succeed ?? Who knows - on with the Tamron lens shove the K-x in it's bag and off I'll go

Rhoda the Skoda has to go to the body shop. Rhoda has a 3 feet high bonnet so you can not see 2 feet high bollards

Is that because you can't wash the roof?

As for bollards, three new cars over the past fourteen years have suffered in our house!

Let's start a campaign against low street furniture, demand that all bollards, kerbs etc below three feet in hight have a tall dayglo pole attached!
