As if he'd do that.
On a more sombre note, my dishwasher's gone belly up.
We bought a Baumatic 2 years ago hoping it would last.
It hasn't!

The only solution is to change systems. That way she wouldn't be able to steal your lenses. Unless she steals your camera too!

HG you should consider getting it repaired. Baumatic will almost certainly either do it for nothing, if it is just around the 2 year mark, or at a greatly reduced cost.
The law is on your side on this one.
If they don't offer a discount on the repairs then start getting cross with them and vaguely quoting EU law, etc. See if that has an effect.
Electrolux repaired my washing machine for 25% of the actual cost of the repair because of it's age. I didn't have to press them at all.

Pimms is going down well tonight, I need to get some more lemonade for it in the morning.

Dishwashers - ours had a hissy fit and lost its heating element. After some rummaging on electrical spares sites a replacement was sourced, fitted in about 5mins, and sure enough hot water was produced again shortly after.
My Dad is looking at a K7 with the WR kit lenses, so I'm trying to nudge him along although I don't think he's likely to buy anything particularly tasty on the lens front.

Not touching the dishwasher until I've talked to Baumatic.
Don't forget I'm in the UK Gwyn, the laws here are different and tend to favour suppliers once goods get over 12 months old.

EU laws apply even in the UK. Everything has a 24 month guarantee under EU law. It overrides UK law.
Read about it here.
It is something which tends to be forgotten in the UK when a law is useful, but gets pointed out when a law is useless.
There are further condition attached too, but Baumatic should offer you a deal on repairing it. If a company like Eloctrolux will then Baumatic should!

If you have had your goods for more than six months when they go wrong, you can still ask the trader to repair or replace them, but you may have to prove that they were faulty when you bought them if the trader doesn't agree. You can ask for a repair or replacement at any time up to six years after you bought the goods (five years in Scotland), as long as it is reasonable for them to have lasted this long. If the goods go wrong after six years (or five in Scotland), you no longer have the right to ask for a repair or replacement.
Good luck with getting it sorted anyway. Meanwhile no 5 course meals - think of the washing up

I just had a BSOD
I can't remember the last time I had one of those. Dammit, I hope this isn't a bad sign.
