A new camera?

Happy birthday! Sounds like you won't be making much sense for a while .
Now Gwyn, you've already been warned about talking about photography in this thread! Please can we keep to food, alcohol and John's sensual modelling.

Sorry it's the withdrawal symptoms setting in.

Falafel, roast veggies and couscous, were on the menu today, along with some Moroccan red wine.
Vegetarian day today to make up for Saturday's five course feast, and to prepare for tomorrow's five course feast.
I might even have duck tomorrow .

Cottage pie and veg washed down with a beer.

To quote my good Swedish friend, Life is good.

At which point he usually falls over smiling...

Both cottage pie and pork and apple sausages sound good.

Cottage pie on Thursday maybe, and I may have a go at making pork and apple sausages at the weekend.

Off to bed now. Probably not online tomorrow - our 35th anniversary .

Many happy returns.

(Consults the "more rare" chapter of the cocktails book.)

Curry and beer last night. With chicken tikka and naan. It really is as good as it gets.

Never managed to find a good curry anywhere else in Europe. Anyone know of a good place in Marrakesh?

Actually it's worth eating in the big square in Marrakesh. Although it looks frighteningly dogey, ate there a few times without ill effect.(Maybe no Currys) Nice place M. It's quite funny to see the locals nipping down dark alleys to the Off Licence and taking their booze away in black bin liners.

In general the advice I've heard is to eat where the locals do. Any culture will reward good food with large numbers of customers, that goes for Marrakesh just as much as it does for Wales. Nobody goes back to a place which gave them food poisoning.

You're also likely to be safer sticking to local foodstuffs - attempts to reproduce overseas recipes for the tourists may or may not be successful...

I'm not entirely sure how McDonalds survive in Hereford though, as if you walk for a minute or two (towards Melgrays) you'll find a shop selling fresh pasties which can pretty much use the smell of their produce as an advert!

Did anyone see the story about the Ginsters 250 mile round trip to get to the Tesco next door?

Suzuki have a similar system. Suzuki GB is in Crawley. 200 yards away is a bike shop. If they order something it is delivered to them via Milton Keynes.
