I'll see your corned beef and raise you bacon grill (best cooked in your mess tin out in the middle of Dartmoor when you are fifteen).

I am trying frickadella for my dinner.

Roast chicken with home-grown veg, now I don't need to drive again this evening I'm opening a bottle of Goliath and settling down with the TV.

Last episode of Sherlock tonight, it's been a short but excellent series. Bring on more!

EDIT: make that a bottle of Adnams Lighthouse!
Cheers, HG

Sherlock is programmed and recording as I write. Shame it was such a short series. I hope they make some more.

I didn't record Top Gear (but should have done). I was out making my own version!

Well, trying to. It's a bit limiting when the only video camera you have handy is a PSP. It copes surprisingly but doesn't handle sudden changes of light or situations where you have a bright sky and dim foreground well. I did strap it to the windscreen and drive a route they occasionally "find" in the magazine and then forget about though.

You might be in for a disappointment with Top Gear. I think it is a "best of".

I didn't have a good day. I went to see the people in the club that I used to fly model aircraft with. One of the models suddenly started heading for the ground. Of course everyone was watching the model and not the pilot. It seems he had a heart attack.

Not good.
