Glad to hear you are getting better Stefan - lonliness is not good - I get twitchy if Jo is gone for more than a few hours............
Panasonic Viera Plasma 42" turned up yesterday afternoon - took a bit of setting up but eventually watched half a footy match and the whole of Dances with Wolves on dvd - brilliant picture and sound.

Can`t wait for the next FIA Grand Prix - it`ll be like going back to when I was a kid and my dad gave me a stick on steering wheel for the dashboard so I could " help him drive " !!

Sun just came out so off to Homebase for some paint for the stairs - Jo came back from Asda with 3 bottles of very interesting looking ciders - one is 8.5% !!!!!! I will report back shoon - hic !!

I'm off out to play, going to see the local wetland warden who will be wandering aimlessly about after so fine upstanding members of our society burned down our state of the art reception bird hide. Then wondering to the Vintage Rally at Druridge Bay.

The sun is trying to shine

Pointless thread :

My journey to work today took 4.9 miles, involved 11 traffic lights, 4 rounderbouts, and 2 "safety" cameras. I have 9 hours 47 minutes and 4x sandwiches (2 chicken, 2 cheese'n'pickle) until I get to repeat the drive in the opposite direction

With Android 2.2 you can do precisely the same thing
It can work as a wifi internet hotspot so if your device has wifi it can connect to the phone and get internet from that.

Never had the opportunity to really enjoy a plasma screen, maybe I should come over to keep you company

I'm now actually thinking off something radical for my loneliness.
I've seen the study I wanted to doesn't seem it's going to start because not enough entry. My girl wanted to do a photographic course in the states next year... I'm now playing with the thought to follow the same course myself but to start this year.
*sighs* Only I can think off plans that throw my whole life upside down within a week

I have just eaten the sandwiches, and barely half-way through today's very slow day. More forum spam needed.
