It's sunny at the moment - but not far away the sky is ominously grey

Still we are now in a football free time so that's good

Thunder rumbling in the distance here. Due yet another massive storm.
Friday night was spectacular, yesterday was a pain - my flat roof leaked again, and now another one on it's way .

It leaks where it joins the house. Always has done, and always will - we've had it "fixed" numerous times and it still leaks in heavy downpours, especially when the wind is in a certain direction. It is a right royal PIA.

Chucking it down here now, and really dark.

I often wonder just why , in places where rain can be a problem there are such things as flat roofs .

It may be OK where rain is not such a problem - - but in Europe ??

Here, it's mostly sunny all the time, lately. We have the occasional downpour, and one thunderstorm last week. Due to record low quantity of snow last winter, water levels are at a record low. Some cities are having water supply problems.

I've done some flat roofs, if done right it isn't a problem at all.

Well done to the Spanish footy team - shame the Netherlands came for an hour or so of thuggery and physical combat !!!

Phew - no more misplaced patriotism for at least two years !!

Raining here - clammy, cloudy but calm - lots of baby tits on the feeder but the squirrels have departed after our two week break in feeding them - cupboard love eh ?

Rain only lasted for an hour and it was not that heavy. Now back to sunshine. I will have to water the plants again tonight.

I would love to see some rain: two months now since the last five minute shower. Almost forgotten what a cloud looks like......

What`s up? is this pointless thread running out? Just had the grandsons round for the evening with their big sister and mum and dad. Now it`s peace again. A pair of five year olds after a day at work, I love them like crazy but am too tired to do them justice.

It rained briefly today here.

The term 'flat' doesn't mean horizontal when applied to 'flat' roofs. There should be a 'fall' away from the building it's attached to to allow rain to run off without puddling.
My villa in Spain has a 'flat' tiled roof, but it has a slightly higher ridge down the centre so rain (when we get any) runs off.

38 degrees C here today . . . and not a chance of rain 'til about September.

Umbrella? Weapon of mass destruction used by old ladies who tuck in behind them then charge down the highstreet and when they get to the other end they check to see how many eyeballs they have snagged.
