You should visit Saskatchewan (Canada). There, the dragonflies are as large as Boeing's 747, and they are everywhere. You wouldn't even have to hunt them.

No puppy dog's tails. At least not for Yves with his Aussie .
Canada is on my list too, but it is so darned huge it would take a lifetime to see all I want to see there.

You've got that one right. I try to visit as much as I can in Canada and despite being able to fly when I want where I want, I only saw a small part of it.but it is so darned huge it would take a lifetime to see all I want to see there.
Some pointers, if you like history: the Louisbourg Fortress in Nova Scotia and Québec city in Québec. Fort McMurray in the prairies. And so much more...

Yves, I really hope we will get to Canada. We are dreaming of a coast to coast trip over a few weeks, at some future date, making use of the trains, as well as hiring cars. My husband wants to go back to NL has he loved it there and wants to show it to me, I want to visit Nova Scotia and Quebec City, he has a cousin near Toronto he wants to visit, and of course the Rockies are a must.
Have to see how the finances pan out, and decide whether we can really leave the dogs for that long. We may do it in a couple of goes. Just a shame getting to NL is so difficult from here.
By the time we are dogless (±7 years as they are both 7 now) we'll be too poor and too old to do it I fear, though what we'd save on kennel fees could go on the trip.
Of course the big dream for me is to see polar bears, but I'll have to win the lottery for that one.

We share that one Gwyn. I have heard they are really cuddly.
