Ah well England's out. Now if the Dutch do the decent thing tomorrow maybe life can return to normal around here.

Slap on the wrist for mentioning this. Sorry

The person on this forum whose hospitality I most look forward to enjoying is Chris A (with his 30 malts).

But you, Tozza, are coming up fast behind. Life in your household appears to be one of constant sensual enjoyment.

Slainte Mhath!

You are very generous in your praise dear George - after over 40 years doing it for a living it is great to be the Customer and give hospitality just to those who deserve it.
I managed to secrete a bottle of Soberano 5yo in the duty free bag whilst plying madame with Toblerone and Sauvignon Blanc from the Marlborough Estates !! I also have 2 dozen free range eggs from my sister`s laying ladies whom I have become quite attached to in the last fortnight.
A sirloin steak blue with cous cous and green salad and goat`s cheese for my repast and then off to bye byes and dreams of the last two weeks and hopes of more sunshine to come.
Bye the way - not a Pentax in sight all the holiday - Canikons rule with the odd Sony and a few Fuji.
Sweet dreams all - I am returned.

Thanks Barrie, Glasgow it is. So what is good to see along the journey from Glasgow onwards and where good to eat preferably Veggie friendly
Going via Glasgow you will get into the Highlands proper more quickly than going via Edinburgh and Pitlochry.

But why not go up one way, and back t'other? Both are splendid.

Where to start? Scotland is just about the most photogenic place on earth. I suppose it would be a mistake to miss Rannoch Moor and Glencoe, but really if you do, it won't matter. There is so much.

If it's not too late, it would be good to travel down the coast from Ballachulish, via Oban, Lochgilpead and then Inverary. Skye is fine, but in my view it's not the be-all and end-all.
