Was it Polio you used to get on a sugar cube?

Correct (although before my time). My dad was reminiscing not too long ago about having his on a sugar cube.
Turns out my sister-in-law's mother will be one of the people who has come out of retirement to administer CoV vaccines.
Hopefully it'll be as efficacious as Pfizer think.

Suagr cubes saved lives. His Nibs has a brother who died of polio, before he was born. My brother had a friend with a leg in irons and a withered arm after surviving polio. I think most people of a certain age know or knew someone who had it.
Nearly seventy years on it is still not erradicated sadly.

Yep. One of the people I shared an office with while a D.Phil student had a leg in irons. He'd also lost an eye due to an accident. Didn't bother him, he just got on with life.

Grrrr... just got a film back that I had set to ISO 80 on the camera but turns out it was ISO 400! How very annoying. [Rollei Retro 80S v. Rollei Retro 400S]

I know that genuine Pentax batteries last very well, but I would really hope that, were I to buy another D-Li90 in 2020, I wouldn't get the actual one shown in this current listing by SRS (of all "people"!) - which shows it to be of 2010 vintage (one of mine is from 2010 or 2012 and still working pretty well )
K-3 II, K-3 and a K-70 from SRS (having now relegated the K-30 /"K-50" to a backup body), & some Sigma and Pentax lenses (and a lot of old 35mm gear!)

I bought three lenses:

A 24/2.8
M 120/2.8
M 35/2

All three have issues. The A 24 has balsam separation, the M 120 has fungus and the 35/2 has a stiff focus ring and something wrong with the aperture ring.

I get the feeling people are taking the chance to clear their lofts and they're finding stuff that's potentially valuable (but damaged). All of them were described as good/working so they're all going back. I'd want to re-purchase the M series lenses if they could be sorted but otherwise I think the seller can deal with them for now.

Looks like Christmas is cancelled here. Restrictions to remain in place until mid January.
Might need Barrie's Christmas Jumper, and I don't even like Bourbon

Nah, nada, no way, daar niets van hebben. Christmas cannot be cancelled, its all about thinking of others, even those not with us. I'll be raising a glass or two for many people over Christmas. You are now on the list so don't be thinking that you got away scot free.
