Opened the curtains this morning to a new day..

Dry and warm(ish) but cloudy today. Stinking hot tomorrow. Thunderstorm and cool on Saturday.
We have half a lawn now (they didn't order enough turf despite coming and measuring it, back Saturday to finish the job) so I am fully expecting a heatwave for the next few weeks to run up my water bill and still kill of the grass.
Doesn't look like we will be going anywhere anytime soon, given the latest figures .

Holiday to Spain that was booked is off the cards now.
However it looks as though we’re going for a mini staycation in Dorset instead!

Staycation??? The world consists of Dorset and foreign. But being friendly and welcoming folk, we don't have passport checks at the county border - yet!!! Holiday to Spain that was booked is off the cards now.

I think it's going to be Thorncombe Farm but I'm not absolutely certain...
Of course not, we're all a sensible bunch so if anyone is presenting ANY symptoms whatsoever we'll probably call it off altogether!

Problem is the guidelines are as clear as Guiness...

Another thought. When did staycation (horrible word that it is) come to mean a holiday in your home country?
I always understood it to mean staying in your own home for your holiday, staying put. If it means staying in your home country then millions do that annually anyway. It isn't anything unusual.
Anyway for those who are off on their hols I hope you have a good time.
