At 05.30 I'm not sure they will have brewed it yet

Sat in the Premier inn, Hull North. Bar & restaurant open but my oh my the prices have gone up some what. No wonder it's quiet, I thought it was down to the plague.

ASDA sill have offers on wines and 4 for 3 etc.

Finally had a haircut today in a new village barber. They are planning a new competitive strategy as soon as rules allow - a free whisky or gin with each trim, that’s won me over!

Fewer people allowed in given space = higher prices to cover costs (and even make a profit)?

What I don't understand is of all the eating and drinking establishments in Hull, why oh why choose a Premier Inn?

It's the Beefeater at Kingswood. I get booked into the Premmier Inn by the client. So it's a few miles back into town and I don't drink/drive. Same arrangements in all other locations where I travel. Normally the menus offer a much larger choice but now it's a limited. Going in for breakfast in fifteen minutes so I'll see how that pans out.

Summer made a brief return yesterday, but we are back to rain and cold again today. In normal times we'd have packed up the camper and gone south by now, but these are of course not normal times.

I suppose a decent summer was too much to expect after the glorious spring we had.

Home tommorow.

Reasonable weather here. Sat there with a pint and pondered.

The last light of day elicits the culmination of a 24-hour chapter which bore neither agenda nor reprise. A singular zenith illuminating a fleeting episode of viable reflection.

The life we live.

Are you sure it was just one pint?? .

Sitting in the garden drinking a pint in the last light of day a couple of days ago, a hedgehog walked across the lawn. No pondering, just nice to see.

I think spending a wet evening In a Premier Inn outside Hull I would get pretty introspective too, but fail to be as poetic.

Gary. I think you have become inebriated with the exuberance of your own verbosity.
I think you had two pints.
CHEERS Vic.
Born again biker with lots of Pentax bits. Every day I wake up is a good day. I'm so old I don't even buy green bananas.

We rescued a baby hedgehog last week and dropped it at a local refuge. Once it's ready to be released, we get a call to collect and release it.

I've too much free time in the evenings.

The two small bottles of Hardy's Stamp (ASDA 4 for 3) may have contributed to a very pleasant evening.

Now up and ready for a full day's output and about to go for breaky inhalf an hour.

We had a table booked at a local restaurant for breakfast, so we tuned up on time only to find it's next week...

But, there was a spare table so we ate anyway, result!

Breakfast? what's that?

We finally managed to order a home delivery of loaded fries last weekend, only three months after they started doing it. Every time before that when I thought about it they were already sold out.
Still haven't eaten out though. Don't feel very inclined to either, too many tourists about.
