Or Amazon. An order placed 2 Feb is "On the way, but it's running late". No it isn't, it arrived within a week of ordering. And another is still "Expected 14 February". Yes it was, and it had arrived by then.

Hang on. Amazon has been providing free logistics support for the Covid-19 testing programme... and some test results are taking ages to arrive . Anyone fancy signing up for Covid Prime??

Too early for beer? Yes if it's the first of the day. No if it's the last of last night.

Surprising how a little thing like a haircut can make one feel so much better.
I can see to drive for one thing, and didn't need to go to Barnard Castle either

Sun is over the yardarm here, so a beer welcome.

If like me you have tracking and Bluetooth turned off your phone an app isn't much use.

Just done some major surgery on my beard - it has the same effect.

I was due for a haircut just before lockdown so now I am turning into an ageing hippie, even started using Mrs RobL’s hair conditioner! Now where are my velvet flares and beads?

Is this the dawning of the Old Age of Aquarius?

Pah! to old age. In my head I'm 21/22. Problem is my body says "SOD OFF NO YOUR NOT"
CHEERS Vic.
P.S. I'm not an 81 year old. I'm a recycled teenager.

My brother turned 70 last week. I pointed out that is 21 in Celsius

That's a comforting thought. It will make me a slightly hypothermic 32.8 next month.

I feel like a spring lamb in light of the above comments, being in the 'sub-30' age bracket.

I'll be a mere 17.777 recurring in October.

Martin. My memory for days is terrible. If anyone asks me what day is it I reply HALF PAST THREE. I must be right 14 times a week. The days just blur one
into another punctuated only by fish on Friday and Sheila church on Sunday. Although now it is a service on line on Saturday evening. Then it's back to HALF PAST THREE.
CHEERS Vic.

Vic: that is one of the unforseen troubles that come with retirement. I now rely on a watch that displays the day of the week as well as time and date. We mark Sundays by having a different breakfast from our standard Monday to Saturday one. I can almost always remember what I had for breakfast. It's remembering what I had for the other meals that is difficult.
Cheers, Martin.
