And there's no longer any coal tar in Wright's coal tar soap . Smells the same as it used to, though .
Jeyes Fluid is still around with an impressive list of industrial-sounding ingredients that should terrify any virus or bacterium that gets in its way - and a great smell .

Anyone remember an evil smelling anti-dandruff shampoo? It contained selenium. That's one smell I'm happy not to have around any more.

Well done, I hope it raised your spirits. Did they talk to you too, or panic and run away? Went shopping yesterday and actually talked to human beings who are not my husband .

I had a couple of pleasant conversations with shopkeepeers who would normally be too busy for such things. Also met a friend on the street so we kept our distance and had a chat, making sure anyone could get past us easily and at the correct distance.
His Nibs has shut himself away in his workshop today, lots of sawing and hammering going on, just in case I want to talk to him.

Big fan of Wrights Coal Tar. Reminds me of my childhood (not all that long ago) but because my dad is a huge fan more than anything, having worked in a colliery as a young lad.And there's no longer any coal tar in Wright's coal tar soap . Smells the same as it used to, though .

Also agreed, Jeyes is still potent.
TCP no longer contains 1,3,6-trichlorophenol. Funnily, I've a bottle of TCP crystals in my laboratory... my predecessor left them behind so, for whatever reason, I have them.

Cabin fever hit our street yesterday..
The council had cut the grass, this led to a neighbour trimming the edge, and some other neighbours joining in..
5 households wee involved and the street has never looked better.
I just stayed up a ladder cleaning UPVc window fames.
Social distancing was observed by all, banter had and a feeling of cummunity pride ensued.

They leave the grass verges long here on purpose, and only cut them in August.
We have roses in the verge outside our house. They come along with a strimmer and "prune" them in March, but they do regularly weed the verge, and get rid of the dead leaves in spring too.
There are always lots of hollyhocks growing randomly by houses in the old town and in verges around here too. They are a lovely sight when in flower!
