Congratulations. They look a very happy couple.

I hope the parents were as happy and relaxed by the time the Big Day ended.

Steve
PS: You give 'em away but they keep coming back. The one I gave away 9 years ago is arriving in about an hour with husband, children and an end to a peaceful life for a week...

The weather was perfect, as was the bride and groom. They've known each other ten years to the day and are so happy together.

As for giving away, I wanted Joe to sign a reciept but was told that wasn't a good idea!

And they will keep coming back, H keeps me on the straight and wobbly, it's the gin thing...
Cheers, HG

Visits from my son-in-law mean opening a bottle of good wine. Visits from my son mean opening a bottle (or more) of good beer. No gin drinkers in the family, so all the more for you. Enjoy!

Thanks HG. Hope you have had a good weekend and are enjoying the fact you don't have to go to work tomorrow
Weather is lovely here. no G&T here though. Have to make do with a beer.

No G'n'Ts here, but a bottle of Hobgoblin is waiting for when I've cleared and cleaned up the debris from a week of daughter and family. The last of the Old Peculier went a couple of days ago (reminder to self: replenish stocks tomorrow). Weather is hot and dry on the south coast, daughter said that it was even like that in Yorkshire.

Bad planning Barrie!!

There is never any question here - I always drive home. Luckily Heineken make an excellent 0% beer which is much better than their gnats pee with alcohol, so I am not condemned to drinking Coke or similar

Coke it was for me tonight Gwyn. But I plan on carrying the celebrations over into tomorrow and adding JD

Off to Scotland next week. His Nibs seems to be planning a route that involves as many distilleries as he can fit in. Guess I'll have plenty of opportunities to improve my driving the camper on the wrong side of the road .

No idea what to pack for the trip other than waterproofs

We saw snow today passing over Bowsmoor on the A66.

Midge repellent? Might be a bit early for them, but is it worth taking the risk?

Earplugs (if you don't like bagpipes)?

Will get the midge repellent when we get there, and earplugs normally go with us, incase of noisy neighbours.

I hope it will warm up a bit before we get there. There was snow near here at the weekend. We got some sleety stuff, and it a heavy frost is due tonight.

The best midge repellant is that hand/body cream that Avon make, I forget the name but it's used by the army!

And it works!

Failing that a good 'blue light insectzapper thingy' in the camper...

Enjoy.

Skin So Soft. Not available here so I have to wait until we get there. Looking at the forecast it will be too cold/wet/windy for the little biters anyway, but better safe than itchy.

We have one of those blue zappy things somewhere, we bought it for the Camargue, then forgot to plug it in and looked like measles sufferers after a night . I shall dig it out.

The Britstops book arrived today .
