Another pointless thread

I had some important things to look at on our club blog last night. My pc was running very slow ( unusable ) so I went to the cathedral to chill out. It was still slow at 9pm, I remembered Gwen's comment so left it running all night. At 6:30 this morning I started to check things out, by 8:30 things were back to normal. I checked the MS web site and found this. LINK

MS Edge is my preferred browser, I have had no real problems with it.

I would switch to Edge, especially now it allows extensions and adblock, but it is just such a pain to move all the bookmarks and passwords over so I'm sticking with FF, simply because I am idle.

Edge is good if only it would always work!

My computer says it is waiting for a convenient time to restart and automatically load the windows 10 upgrade. I think I will set it to do that tonight.
Thanks for the comments

There are a couple of important security updates to be done too, but they are the normal weekly updates and don't take long.

His Nibs uses Edge most of the time, but also has Opera again on his machine. Years ago we gave up on Opera but it is now much improved. But yet again, I am too idle to change. FF is getting slow and bloated but I'll hang on for a while yet.

Should have been off in the camper today but we have decided to wait until next week now.

Are you all on your hols?

These days East Anglia is warm and fine. The evenings are great: sitting out with a glass of something, a bag of nibbles and a good book. The battered old straw hat is no longer needed now that the back yard is in the shade.

How was the Whitby regatta?

Not in East Anglia. Some baby froglets climbed out of our pond a while ago. We sometimes find one or two sheltering in one of the shady moist places in the garden. I am concerned that they might not survive day after day of near thirty degree heat. Fortunately there is no hosepipe ban so we can keep sprinkling in the evenings.

Sorry to hear that it wasn't too good for Regatta weekend.
