yeah, spring is coming - the seagulls are back.

Tomorrow should be a big kiting event on the small lake (around the size of windermere), probably 200 kiters. I need a 300mm+ and a monopod, I really do...

My how this thread has grown, two pages in two days!

Brid was great, the birds are in at Bempton, and we saw puffins (Ah, aren't they cute!)

Didn't have a hangover this morning, but everybody else with me did.
Cheers, HG

Put that down to being 16. Not cool to be excited about anything!

Hope she has a great time.

Best wishes, Kris.
Thanks Kris, I'm sure she will too. Though it will be good to hear from her - when she gets around to it!

Still, looking forward to next winter when England will presumably suffer their normal humiliation down under! I blame the doctored pitches. That and the fact that the English bowlers don't pitch the ball up like they once did!

I know this is not the first time converging verticals have been mentioned in threads on PU, so did some scouting around - I now see that my version of PS Elements (6) has a filter to correct it. Happy Days

Kris - my understanding of the cause of the problem was where the camera was situated with respect to a tall building. If that is so (happy to hear more about it), then how does a larger format camera such as the Horseman assist in rectifying it?

Instead of tilting the camera to include the top of the building, he can leave the camera parallel to the building and shift the lens/lensboard up leke a tilt lens to keep everything straight and square. That's the beauty of large format cameras.

If you put portability and rapidity out of the equation, there is nothing a large format can't do.
