Well done Stuey!! It is nice to see your images in print or on a website, even if there is no financial reward. I was pleased to see that the brochure for yesterday's Tickhill Grand Prix professional cycle racing event which went on all day in the sleepy South Yorkshire village, featured several of my images shot at last year's inaugural event. I've also got some on their website www.tickhillgp.com

No great shakes, but I am proud of them!

Cheers

The big East-Anglian house spiders seem to have begun their autumnal scurry-about-the-house activity earlier than usual. I have been startled twice by big fast ones in the past few days (I'm rather arachnophobic). I wonder if it is a sign that autumn is coming early this year?

Mrs Snap always thought Suffolk was one huge anthill, she is also arachnophobic and Every spider is at least the size of a tarantula

Dammit! There was a middling-sized one scrambling about on my modem a few minutes ago. By the time I had gone and got the feather duster it had disappeared. I'll bet it's waiting for dark, to jump out and startle me again!

(An elderly village lady told me that a feather duster is a good humane solution for unwanted spiders. Hold one next to a spider and it will hide inside it, and can then be carried outside and shaken out into a bush or something. Doesn't work with the big fast scoot-about ones)

I have new glasses, my first varifocals. So far I am not impressed with them. Only had them a few hours it's true but they are driving me nuts.

I know I have to give them time and all that, but right now I feel like taking them back. I have two weeks to decide whether or not to keep them.

I haven't picked up the camera yet to try them with that. Goodness knows it hat will work.
