His Nibs has just gone to pick up a lease car. He has a contract for three days a week back in the east of the country, so needs a car.
He has been filling dead men's shoes over the last couple of weeks (hopefully it is not catching :shock.

He joined a new band, to replace the guitarist who died, and now this contract, to fill in until a new person can be appointed, after an ex-colleague of his was killed in a road accident a couple of weeks ago.

So there go my plans for spring, and I have to dust off the ironing board again .

Looks like our house sale will get put off again, as he won't be wanting to do DIY on the days he isn't working.

+3, a man of principles who stood up for his (and our) rights.

Beerday morning started by striping the Yamaha engine down, broken piston!

Off to Boroughbridge next Thursday to sort it all out.

I have 4 bikes, only one is currently taxed, and that's no engine now!

I think I'll have a beer when I get home from work this evening...

Well - that's all my flights for New York booked this morning - it's been fun fitting them in around people's availability to meet me at JFK , and the dates I have also to be in Dublin

I have decided to save my State Pension increase to buy a new top of the range Pentax DLSR. Can anyone tell me what will be available in 2021 or is it pointless.

His Nibs starts work again tomorrow. Has to be up at 6.15. That is going to be a shock to the system after enjoying some lie-ins over the last few months.

I keep telling myself the money will be nice to have (after the tax man has taken more than his fair share), but money isn't everything.

Ah well no doubt we'll quickly get back into the old routine.

Have a good week everyone.

Don't you mean 'piston broke' like many of us here:

I was going to put that Stuey, but many years ago I donated a trophy to the Bradford to Morcambe Historic Vehicle Run, called The Piston Broke Trophy.

It was for every day used vintage A35s, but it's probably got lost by now.

might try and get one of the 'peds MOT'd today...
