Actually I meant to say 'Tennis Anyone' - too many pints of Tribute. At least St Austel haven't sold out. There are so many places selling Doombar now I can't believe it's brewed in Rock anymore. Actually haven't Coors closed the Brewery?

Knotweed is a nightmare Gartmore. Specialist teams need to remove and destroy it, my previous department dreaded finding the stuff in parks. One cemetery in particular is still trying to eliminate the stuff after 20 odd years.

Had a good day yesterday, al four bikes fired and ran, not bad considering the Beema has stood for six months and one of the mopeds is built from left over engine bits.

Work today, the weather is beckoning the Yam out...
Cheers, HG

It's His Nibs 66th birthday, and grandson #2's 5th birthday today.

Cake all round later, and a home cooked Chicken Jalfrezi tonight.

Happy birthday to "His Nibs & Grandson." Don`t 5 year olds keep you young?
Enjoy life

We had a lovely afternoon, sat out in the garden enjoying the sunshine and the company. The kids spent most of their time on a swing seat, after devouring chocolate cake. It is probably the first time in 66 years that His Nibs has been able to celebrate his birthday sat in the garden in short sleeves!

He also got a job offer yesterday, so he will be back to working three days a week from next week for a few months. On the one hand the money is very welcome, but on the other I had just got him working on odd jobs around the house, and going for days out. Now he will spend all the nice weather working again, like he did last year after he "retired".

Been away for a couple of days heading back home late afternoon.

Had blue skies and overnight frost. It's been a nice wee break and guess what

We're trying to eat less, so half a loaf would be better than a whole loaf for sure.

Tonight I was very good and didn't open a bottle of wine, but opted for a bottle of water. It's not quite as satisfying, but definitely less calories.
Best regards, John

I'm having a rare mid week beer

This was prompted after spending the evening dismantling the panelling around the toilet to allow me to remove the cistern then clean up the mess caused by a leak and replacing a seal

All done I must admit though that I have had better reasons for spending an evening with my face against the side of a toilet

I'm having a lazy Friday in-between contracts.

Moving house this year (hopefully) so been DIYing like mad. The problem is now I'm really struggling to know what to do. Because normally on a day off I would do DIY. But I've done it all already.

Hmm.
