I had kibbeling yesterday. Not real kibbeling, made from cod's cheek, but what now passes for kibbeling.

Big bowl of chilli tonight. Yum.

No booze since Mum's taxi service is alive and well even though they are all well into their thirties .

A trip to Skipton saw fresh meat bought from the meat man in the van..

...sounds dodgy, but he isn't and the meat's great.

Called round at Ilkley and Booths for beer, Adnams Lighthouse at£1 a bottle..

...Gammon ham washed down with a good beer, what's not to like?
Cheers, HG

On hols in Scotland last year & Mrs Cedric went for cod & chips and got told they don`t have Cod. They send that filthy fish to England and we had haddocks instead. Following week we decided on fish & chips for tea but I had to go in the shop. I asked for Haddocks and chips and said I didn`t want the filthy Cod Guy suddenly realised that the previous weeks conversation had been passed on. We got onto motor bikes `cos he had a collection of posters around the shop of ancient Beezers, triumphs etc. Found out he had a shedful of them. Glad we had that conversation as he chucked in a couple of extra Haddocks.

Just looking at the page number 1162 and recalled that was my mother's membership number at the Co-op. North Shields 162 was our telephone number and my Radio Telephone certificate 11062. None of those numbers or combinations thereof have been lucky on raffles, lottery etc.

Thanks for the warning!

I don't often do raffles and never lottery. But I'll be sure to avoid those numbers if I do

Lottery! total waste of money, we did 7 lines for heaven knows how many years.

Total return?

We'd have got better odds on a 3 legged donkey in the Grand National!

Remember that meat guy yesterday? Well just had a fantastic rib eye steak and Chianti..

.....one happy HG

We had hog roast before the game at Parc Y Scarlets on Saturday then on Sunday cockles, firstly fried with smokey bacon then some that were deep fried

Of course quite a lot of alcohol as well

Why don't the people who keep these birds use their pooper scoopers
