Another pointless thread

The photography is fine, shot with a Nikon so not really relevant to PU, but we'll let that go in context.

You've named someone on the internet Honesty, so do please be careful not to libel them. It's not unknown for people to take great exception to any slur on their reputation. Please stay on the right side of the line for your own sake.

The pictures are fine as far as I can see, nice portraits that I'd expect the sitters to be very pleased with.
Best regards, John

Meanwhile back in pointlessland.
The sun is shining. Spring has sprung. After last weekend being a long weekend we have another one coming up next week. I hope the weather lasts.
Time to stock up on Witbier.

Sorry for those of you not enjoying spring yet - I heard it is still grim way up north.

That's why I said way up north - the forecast this morning on Radio 4 was talking of snow in the Highlands .

Isn't it a bank holiday weekend there? Have the weather gods not realised this???

Does snow fall in the Highlands if there is no one there to see it :

Think this has been the best display of tulips we've ever had in the garden. Weather is not to bad today, thermometer showing a balmy 11°C. Off out to look for a building for Barrie's comp and something in a state of decay for the club.

Stan

Yes, Bank Holiday Monday is almost upon us.

In days of yore long traffic jams trailed into North Wales and the Lake District, maybe to Blackpool, snaking their way slowly in single file along narrow A roads. Once arriving, kids spilled out of cars, screaming and shouting after all those hours cooped up in a metal box. Parents would reach for newspapers and the packet of sandwiches, buy saucy postcards, lie in a deckchair and sleep.

We won't be doing anything like that on Monday!

It is Spring in Edinburgh. And a bit of snow in May isn't unheard of.

But as for this 'holiday' of which you speak. What is that exactly.

Still six weeks before I head for New York. Or is it 30 working days. Or just another 240 hours.

What happened to that big clock they had for the Olympics. I might stick it on my desk.

We have a holiday next Thursday - Ascension Day. We had a holiday on Tuesday - Koninginnedag (the last!), and one more on May 20th, which is Whit Monday. That's it then until Christmas.

A bit of fine weather will see traffic jams to the coast.

No plans for any travels at the moment, but we should plan something soon. Maybe the States again, maybe somewhere in Europe. Depends somewhat on His Nibs' post retirement work schedule. So far he has taken just four retirement days.

I think the snow on the ground thereafter might be a bit of a clue, whereas the fallen tree wouldn't.

Do trees disappear when they fall then?

Is sticks a pun
