When I go to the dentist's I usually grab hold of his plums and say
to him "Now we are not going to hurt one another are we?"

My dentist is a nice young female - I think that if I start grabbing hold of her I may very quickly have no teeth left When I go to the dentist's I usually grab hold of his plums and say
to him "Now we are not going to hurt one another are we?" '
I may have to drink tea instead of beer and make up for it next weekend

Back from holiday in Holland and I think our tulips/daffs are more advanced than there.
Had all sunny, warm days.
Discovered a Beer Festival in a church in Amsterdam serving what looked like a selection of few hundred different. For those interested it's every year about this time.
regards
Bernard

Sorry - not really pointless
BUT
Could someone please explain to me why, at what is 9.25pm ,my next door neighbours have just now started banging and crashing and dropping things whilst using an electric drill in their bathroom ?
It sounds as if they have just dropped a stainless steel sink !!
They have been doing jobs in there since last June !! I've lost count of the number of different plumbing firms vans I've seen at the house.
Why am I so p..... off ? Their flipping bathroom is through the wall from my Sitting room !

You can speak to the council. The law isn't clear cut but you can make a complaint about noise between 8pm and 7am when it is unnecessary, ie when the work could be carried out during the day.

I'm sure they could find an excellent reason as to why it had to be done tonight .

Only if they say it's an emergency. Otherwise they can be told to stop.
But to be honest, starting with diplomacy often works.
Then get nasty later!

Whilst using my three vouchers at Morribunds this morning I noticed each has it's own value...
....this prompted me to ask if I could use them individually.
The attendant didn't know and the information desk was too busy, so I left it.
I'll ask later in the week if I get a chance.

HG, you seem to have slipped from pointlessness to randomness.
