Hello from a Canadian in N. Yorkshire

Thanks again for all the welcomes. My dad is back home and managed to give me an inventory list and a picture. It looks like I am going to have some fun with this as it is an ME Super and the winder is for the MX. Plus, the lenses do look like some good all around lenses to play with and so I don't ...

A new happy go lucky K-7 user

Hi Michael, welcome to the forum.I have the VL Nokton SL2 58mm f1.4. Hi everybody

I haven't got it yet. I am waiting for my Nikon to sell so I can order it. How does this sound for a keen little set up? The K-7 with grip, 18-55 WR, a 60-250mm f/4, and a 15mm limited. I did win an auction for an AF-360 flash today. So it should be on it's way. Anyone have any experience positive...

Hi from SL1 with new Kx

Hi, also bought a Kx recently for much the same reason as Derek and starting to learn, Decades ago when I had a film SLR it was common practice to have a filter (I think UV) fitted which stayed on permanently - as much as to protect the lens as to improve photos I think. Gazing at my pristine ne...

David aka grumpyguts

Just thought I'd say 'hello'. Been into photography since impulsive buy of (ahem!) Fuji S7000 bridge camera back in 2003, got more serious, and no run a kit based around a K10D (WHO'd want a K5, anyway ), then added an ME-super, which came with the fantastic f1/1.4 50mm SMC lens, and a few ...

Hello everyone

Hello, I am Lee. I have just bought a Kx with 18-55mm DA L and a 55-300mm DA, I also picked up an old Sigma 28-80mm Macro for next to nothing. I have used other brands of Dslr, but have never had so much fun as I have with this little gem (though the mrs was not too impressed with the result when I ...

Hello Graham from Norfolk

By all accounts the DA*300 is a superb lens (I cant afford one yet:cry:) but I agree with aliengrove, you would find it very restricting on its own, you will also find it cheaper to buy the kit lens with the camera than deciding you need one later on. For insects you could always buy a close up "...

As she doesn't want to lear...

Hi all - complete newbie

Hi Eke and welcome. You have a K10D - a very cool camera and a pretty capable tool so you should be taking ace shots in no time. In terms of your questions - where to start??? I would strongly recommend you find a copy of the K10D instruction manual, as it is pretty good as I recall at effectively t...
