In good overall condition, filters work as intended, focus and aperture work well. There is some haze and fungus on a rear element. the lens is usable as is but would benefit from cleaning. Happy to send photos if needed. £25 + postage.

FS : Sigma DG 150-500mm APO HSM for Pentax

Having a bit of a sort through my lenses, mainly to get rid of duplicate focal lengths and under used glass. This Sigma falls into both categories as it competes with my Pentax 150-450 which I tend yo use in preference to this lens. That said I have had some cracking results with it which are probab...

For sale: Pentax K5lls. Great condition.

Top notch, rugged, great IQ camera - I still have 2 of these, can't part with them :liked: I swore I'd never part with this, and since putting it up for sale I've been having second thoughts. This was a great sensor. Think I'll be pulling it off sale shortly!

Hello Pentax users!

I still do not understand why so many people do not take oly seriously. Firstly because the sensor is so small. Every advance in sensor technology will benefit the APS-C size more than the 4/3. Secondly because Olympus abandoned their customers when they dropped the OM system. Maybe they would do...

Hello Pentax users!

Just joined: HELLO / BONJOUR and advice requested

Welcome David. You seem to be muddling megaPIXELS and megaBYTES. They are not the same thing. The former is the number of little dots used to make up a picture, the latter is the amount of disk space used to store the image. The amount of disk space used to store your image depends on the fo...

K200D Image Stabliser Problem

Welcome Jeanette, My K200d 'rattles' when turned on. It's the dust removal system shaking loose particles off the sensor, normal on these bodies.8)

Been told you welcome Samsung users too!!!!

Thanks for all the "welcomes" In reply to "Snootchies" Got a GX10, and the kit lenses, which I never use now as I have the Tamron 18-250, which, up until last night, had only been taken of once in the last year to check the cleanliness of the sensor. It has now been joined by an oldie but ...

migrating from SLR to DSLR

I really think pentax have a promissing camera with the K-7, i read a lot of positieve comments from photographers that have another brand camera so hopefully they jump ship. Also Canon seems to do his trick again. When the K20D came the 50D was delaid and came out with a sensor with more megapixel...

Hi from CT -- lens/body question

That's an easy one to answer. All of the Pentax Digital SLR's are able to use your lenses. Any Pentax lens ever made, including screw mount lenses (with an adpater) can be used on their DSLR bodies. The oldest is the *istD which can be bought for around £200. Look on ebay for a *istD, *istDS, or ...

Hi From Wordsley

Welcome to the forum Nigel :D I think you will find that the K20D is actually quite a good performer at higher ISO (800 & 1600). I suspect it's quite an improvement in this area over the K200D which I understand has an older 10MP sensor. I say 'suspect' because I have not owned a K200D but other ...

I just found the Forum

Hi Folks, I have been using Pentax for about 25 years now. Just had my first Pentax Digital. a 200D. I have only had it for a few months, already there's a lot of dust on the sensor, (According to the dust device.) I wonder if the dust alert mechanism actually puts dust on. ) Anyhow, I like ...
