Good show I've been many times. They sent my registration number approx 5/6 weeks ago. In 2008 P.U. did some large prints for free! It would be great if they put on another free offer of some sort. Various manufactures and suppliers have special offers at these type of shows. Sensor cleaners, Wrist...

Top Tips.
Top Tip #1. A small Pringles can makes an excellent container for sending standard and wide angle lenses through the post. I recently sent a Pentacon 50mm to Italy in one, much to the amusement of the buyer. Wrap the lens in a couple of layers of bubble wrap, so that it is a snug fit in the tube,...

Top Tips.
I find cigarette rolling papers to be excellent at cleaning the front/rear element of a lens.

Top Tips.
Aha! I didn't know the part about twisting the cap to clean the pad, thanks for mentioning that. My microfibre cloth is now relegated to cleaning noseprints off the LCD on the back of my camera or cleaning inside lenses I'm treating for a fungal infection, as the lens pen is both much easier to u...

predications Pentax 2010
DA*600 f4 ( I can dream.....) K8 same dimensions as K7 with new sensor - much better high ISO noise performance and full HD video ( 1920 x1080 at 24, 25 and 30 fps.)contrast based autofocus in video mode, ability to select sdm or screw focus. (14.5 Mpixels is fine for me.) A DA* or ltd lens wit...

What do you carry with you when you go out to photograph?
So, my question is, how do YOU reduce the gear you take with you? I don't. When it became necessary, I bought a bigger bag. Now all I need is a stronger wife to carry it. When she can't manage the full payload, I take:- K20D + grip, DA12-24, DA*16-50, DA*60-250, DA*300, F 1.7x AF T/C, FA100mm Ma...

US prices to your door
so is Wales :) Would be interesting to check the price for the same article in all the countries of the UK. I'll admit I paid a good deal less for mine and had rather more in the way of 'extras' as well - Lowepro bag , 8 GB card , and extra set of batteries and a battery charger , and a lens c...

US prices to your door
Just a few quick thoughts: - Nikon have used the same sensors as Pentax (6mp in D40 and K100, 10mp in D80 and K200) If the sensor is the same where is the real difference? Weather-sealed? SR in body? AF in body? Uses legacy lenses? Stainless steel body? - Who cares about Live View? Not me; with ...

HELP.....Kenko Extension Tubes or similar....?
Hmmmm I thought that was the whole reason the Tamron 1.4x Pz-af TCs allowed SDM focussing was due to the power zoom contacts? My apologies, seeing your comment I have tried cleaning the Rokunar contacts. I'm very pleased to say it does work with SDM lenses.:oops:

Pentax version of this coming?
From the news that was on the net this is all samsung, they are trying to do it on there own without copying pentax, that's why we didn't see a samsung version of the K7 most likely. Also now that the KX has a Sony sensor it seems Samsung and Pentax aren't so good friends any more. This is me ...

Pentax version of this coming?
I'm quite surprised that Pentax haven't tried to make a digital ME Super - call it the ME-D, make it a similar size to the original, and go after the PEN cameras with a full K mount SLR that's no larger or heavier than them. The problem is thickness. Film is essentially of negligable thickness, s...

Pentax version of this coming?
But to be honest, I think this is the future and I doubt there will be many true pentaprism SLRs around in 10 years time. Depends, nikon, canon, pentax, olympish and all the other true photography brands have of course the knowledge for making a good SLR. Companies like Samsung, sony, panasonic, et...

anybody find a photo showing the nx10 side by side with the kx?
By the specs they are so good as even wide but the KX is 1 centimetre higher and thicker. I don't think I would like the grip of the NX10 but hopefully for samsung it might be better then it looks. Since the sensor is still the same size I don't think the lenses will be much smaller. Sorry ...
