Yes, I have a 300 bar 7 litre bottle for the Feinwerkbau & Anschutz :D but I think the Rocket Blower will do  Vic.

Sensor cleaning - again!

Interestingly it's clear that not everyone agrees. I suspect I can't use the garage compressor as I guess there's a risk of oil in the line. I think I'm going to go the non AB route. It cleaerly works but 40 quid. Mike

TRue I'm sure but this is filled by the local gun shop and used for reinflating my tyres on the land rover :) so goodness knows what's in it. Mike

Bring me up to speed - why aren't you using a brush of some form? I've been trying to get a copperhill brush without paying high shipping costs. Mike

Sensor cleaning - again!

My dustspots are pretty sticky. I can't blow them off. I tried several times. :? How close to the sensor are you getting the nozzle of the blower? I've found on a few occasions that a dust spot has been a bit stickier than most, but I've managed to shift it by getting the nozzle to within a centi...

Sensor cleaning - again!

Thanks a lot all. I will order it from cameraclean. Haven't been able to find a decent supplier in Denmark. I think it is not dust - but pollen (is that the right word ? those sticky flower things). I tried to blow very close but have not used a brush. I don't have one. I might need one then....

My new website has launched..

It might be an idea to have a link to all the Pentax stuff, all the nikon etc. You know, linked selling. At the moment, someone comes along to look at lenses and doesn't necessarily see the bodies or cleaning kit, batteries etc. If there was a link to all the items from a particular manufacturer,...

Which is best lens cleaning cloth ?

Which is best lens cleaning cloth ? I have a few specs of dust on my lens/filter which I want to remove. A friend of mine has a cloth with a rubbery feel to it which he bought at Jessops, With all the experiences here, which cloth would you recommend? Please can you supply links where possible...

Which is best lens cleaning cloth ?

Dust is best blown or brushed off rather than wiped off with a cloth. You should have a bulb blower and a brush made for lenses or sensors. Wiping dust with a cloth can cause scratching because some of the "dust" particles may in fact be tiny bits of grit that are harder than glass. W...

Digital Compact comments please

I've been through this, and the only answer to the miniscule sensor size on digi compacts is to get a second hand film compact and a half decent film scanner

No 10 - Road Tax Petition

Anyone any idea what the carbon footprint of a fancy lens is? My 23 year old Land Rover has very little plastic and is repaired by replacing parts as often as not used or made from scrap not modules 90% of which won't be broken but get replaced anyway. It does 30 to the gallon diesel or sunflower...

Hi

Cleaning equipmet: * Lenspen * Microfibre cloth * Bulb blower Definitely take more memory cards if shooting RAW and you don't have a laptop or access to a computer to transfer the images to. Otherwise 8GB may be enough.

Hi

Congrats on your new camera. And that sounds like quite a trip - are you driving from Las Vegas to BC? A Iceblinker said you will need a lot more memory if you don't have a computer with you. Or invest in an image tank to download your photos too -lighter to carry than a laptop. I'm not sure I w...
