Q at 'Focus'

I have just checked and you can actually get one on eBay

Q at 'Focus'

Thanks for the link. The K-5 has a 1.5x crop factor and the Q has a 5.5x crop factor. Not useful for wide angle shots, but certainly very useful for extreme telephoto shots.

Q at 'Focus'

The concern for me was that the Q's much smaller, more pixel-dense sensor would exceed the resolution of K mount lenses. However I've seen images from the DA*300mm and the Q cropped to 100%, which looked OK, and also suggests that the sensors in cameras like the K5 aren't yet out-resolving our be...

Q at 'Focus'

I would be rather miffed if I had splashed out £600 quite recently. But this is now sensible and tempting. Tough choice between the Q and a very good current deal on a Panny GF3. Not that tough actually as I can't afford either at the moment. Hopefully now the Q will start selling and there may be...

Q at 'Focus'

You can now get an adapter for Pentax 110 lenses, now I'm really tempted!

Q at 'Focus'

OK, so who's volunteering to get a Q and stick a Bigma with a 2x converter on it? Surely we could see if there's life on Mars with that combo!

Q at 'Focus'

I think it'll be the other way round, you stick the camera on the lens :D

Q at 'Focus'

You can now get an adapter for Pentax 110 lenses, now I'm really tempted! Do you have any links for this? This would be a deciding factor for me as I have all but the pan focus 18mm 110 lens!

Q at 'Focus'

OK, so who's volunteering to get a Q and stick a Bigma with a 2x converter on it? Surely we could see if there's life on Mars with that combo! I might just do it! I have a tamron 500 mirror, 2x and 1.5x converter - that would equate to an 8250mm F22 lens  Might need a very bright day t...

I spotted it from a Chinese or HK site on eBay, sorry I didn't bookmark it.

Q at 'Focus'

I don't think you need a bight day, just a clear day or night. After all it's not the light of the Earth your're interested in but the light on the planet you're photographing. And you shouldn't need auto focus!

Q at 'Focus'

Just back from Focus on Imaging, with feet remarkably not aching at all, and I had a look at the Fisheye lens for the Q. That's now on the To Buy list, but I don't buy at exhibitions. Too many things are too tempting. What was very interesting was that it's manual focus and, despite presumably st...

Q at 'Focus'

110 lenses don't have an aperture ring do they? Would presume these could only be shot wide open. 110 lenses have no diaphragm either - the aperture is formed by the shutter blades. I would suspect that an adapter will have a built in shutter to cover this as the Q has a setting for using the...

Q at 'Focus'

John, do you mean the 'Q' has no diaphragm? I suspect it doesn't matter very muchif you shoot wide open, the depth of field is huge anyway. The Auto 110 could stop down to f13.5 but I suspect that was because the fastest shutter speed was only 1/750. I've a few rolls to be processed from my r...

Q at 'Focus'

No, the Auto 110 lenses had no diaphragm. Not sure about the Q.

Q at 'Focus'

Auto 110 lenses rely on the built in diaphram with 2 blades! Though you have no control over apature, the Auto 110 is pure point and shoot. The Lenses are fixed at f2.8. As I understood it, the toy lenses are without any form of diaphram but the non-toy lenses have a built in shutter and diap...

Q Accessories - Cases

Was doing a Google search for a SMALL holster case for the K-30/18-135 and where do I find myself, but back here in this thread!:D However, in the process I came across . Looks to be about the right size, very cheap and so I've ordered one to see how it does.

K-01 user feedback

I played with one at the SRS open day. Unfortunately, clashing with the rugby, the football and St Patrick's day meant there were very few people there when I was there. As someone who wasn't really interested in a CSC of any make, I was actually pleasantly surprised with the K-01. The screen w...
