Q at 'Focus'

I think it'll be the other way round, you stick the camera on the lens

Do you have any links for this? This would be a deciding factor for me as I have all but the pan focus 18mm 110 lens!

I might just do it! I have a tamron 500 mirror, 2x and 1.5x converter - that would equate to an 8250mm F22 lens

Might need a very bright day though, perhaps Venus might be bright enough.

I don't think you need a bight day, just a clear day or night. After all it's not the light of the Earth your're interested in but the light on the planet you're photographing.

And you shouldn't need auto focus!

Just back from Focus on Imaging, with feet remarkably not aching at all, and I had a look at the Fisheye lens for the Q. That's now on the To Buy list, but I don't buy at exhibitions. Too many things are too tempting.

What was very interesting was that it's manual focus and, despite presumably staggering amounts of depth of field, was an absolute doddle to focus using the screen. That implies very good screen sharpness and it bodes well for the verstaility of the Q.

I'm still searching for a better case that maintains the ability to pop it in a jacket pocket. Nothing at Focus was quite right.

110 lenses don't have an aperture ring do they?

Would presume these could only be shot wide open.

110 lenses have no diaphragm either - the aperture is formed by the shutter blades.

I would suspect that an adapter will have a built in shutter to cover this as the Q has a setting for using the "electronic" or "lens" shutter.

I suspect it doesn't matter very muchif you shoot wide open, the depth of field is huge anyway. The Auto 110 could stop down to f13.5 but I suspect that was because the fastest shutter speed was only 1/750.

I've a few rolls to be processed from my recently acquired one, all shots at Christmas parties with flash so f4. It will be interesting to see the results albeit with long out of date film.

No, the Auto 110 lenses had no diaphragm. Not sure about the Q.

Auto 110 lenses rely on the built in diaphram with 2 blades! Though you have no control over apature, the Auto 110 is pure point and shoot.

The Lenses are fixed at f2.8.

As I understood it, the toy lenses are without any form of diaphram but the non-toy lenses have a built in shutter and diaphram.

The good Q to K adaptors also have a built in shutter and diaphram, so all you loose is auto focus, AV mode is supported.
