Traveller possibly inbound...

Welcome to the forum Jules. If your budget is tight, you might do well to consider the kit 18-55 lens, which is often reckoned to be remarkably good and can be brought for well under £50! If you want longer focal lengths or faster lenses many of the A series lenses (you may have used these with ...

Helloooo

Returning to Pentax (last was a 35mm KM many years back) after Fuji's and their S8100 bridge camera. Just a tad limiting - esp the motorized zoom that never stopped just where I wanted it! Having to remember all the techniques now after being lazy and using auto mainly. I have the K-X with the twin ...

pentax mz-30 camera

You can put any SMCP-A (manual focus only), F, FA, D-FA lens on it. I don't think you can use any lens that does not have an aperture ring, unless the MZ-30 can set the aperture on the body. These lenses include the FA-J and DA ranges. MZ series bodies having a model number ending in '0' have wha...

pentax mz-30 camera

Would it be correct to put it this way then? "Any Pentax fit (probably auto-focus) lenses without an aperture ring". Umm, no, that would not be correct. The OP stated "i know nothing about sli cameras". That's a clue to me that a bit more information might be needed.

PROBLEMS WITH K 7

Problems with images taken with the K 7. Purchased K 7 beginning of month, a lot of the images have very fine verticle lines, has anyone else had the same problem? Camera is going back to suppliers later this week to be checked.

PROBLEMS WITH K 7

It's a duff'un, send it back for replacement, not repair. Vertical banding has been an issue to varying degrees with just about every Pentax DSLR, and other makes also. The problem is most pronounced in low light, longer shutter speed situations where you get some really dark areas in the frame. ...

pentax mz-30-60

Pentax MZ30 and MZ60 cameras are fairly modern film cameras which have Pentax PKA lens mounts. For Pentax cameras with M42 mount you need to go back to the Spotmatic. M42 lenses will fit more modern Pentax Cameras with K,PKA and PKAF mounts by using a M42 to PK adaptor ring. In this use, functi...

pentax mz-30-60

If you're looking for a Pentax with a M42 mount then look for a Spotmatic, for some info. Or, as Graham says check out an adaptor. If you have a MZ30 or/and MZ60 then the best lenses to get will be 'A' series or auto focus ones. Hope this helps,
