Three K telephoto primes
I think that 50 is an M as it has the M-type lens cap, the K series caps have a crinkle finish and don't have Asahi Pentax picked out in chrome. My three lenses above have the original K caps. Ha! Ha! Your looking for a lens and don't know what your looking for ..... careful you don't get...

Three K telephoto primes
Unusual if the K-m isn't out on old lenses. Pentax cameras going back to the Z-1 and possibly earlier have always been out by 1.5 to 2 stops. The digitals are quite well documented on the US forum. Plus different lenses meter differently even the modern stuff. I seem to get faster shutter speeds wit...

Pentax A* 200mm Macro
Of course you don't need a long lens when visiting places like Stratford's Butterfly House, the subjects almost queue up for their pictures taking:D. As for Danny's lens I Don't know why I'm jealous, I do have my 100MM DFA Macro, and even then can manage quite well with my 16-50 DA* as the exampl...

Gold Spotmatic
Pentax UK have a headquarters??? Ricoh seems to have changed things. I always had the impression that the entire (Hoya) Pentax UK operation was being run out of the back of a Transit van,

It makes me think of the Olympus c1000 DSLR that I had back in 1999, all of 850 K pixels with a 3 x zoom.:)

Gitzo GT5562GTS Tripod Review
Whilst not exactly Pentax equipment I do use this to support my Pentax kit so hope this is the best part of the forum to put this! Those that follow the classified section closely will be aware that I recently sold my old GT5541LS tripod as we picked up the new Gitzo GT5562GTS at the recent Focus...

S1a & Super-Takumar 55/1.8 (aperture wrong way?)
You have an early Super Tak and I have a late Auto Tak that are pretty much identical, including the back-to-front aperture ring. Takumar models tended to morph from one model to the next in a less cut-and-dried way than modern lenses. Take the S-M-C 135mm f/2.5 lens, for example. The second vers...

MV, MV1 and M series lenses
Nice set of lenses, like the use of the carry matt for the back ground Kris. Chris Actually it is a piece of blue card I bought specifically to use as a scoop for photos. Unfortunately, it is often not large enough! Thanks for the nice comments. K.

ultimate portrait lens collection ?
Hi Opethian, the DA* 55 is an excellent lens but if you're going to buy it be sure that you check it out with your own camera first or that you can return it if not satisfied. Here is my original post on the subject... https://www.pentaxuser.com/forum/topic/da--55mm-f1-4-16392 ... The copy I have ...

It has just got back from Eric and is now loaded with Ilford Delta 100 film. I have fitted it with one of my earliest lenses, an Auto-Takumar...
