Visitors to the Long Grass
Superb! Everything spot-on - soft, attractive and colourful backgrounds and the points of focus skillfully chosen with shallow depth of field. Every one a winner!

Visitors to the Long Grass
Excellent set, it‘s amazing what‘s living out their in the back garden. They‘re all great but if I had to pick it‘d be No7 for the framing/composition.

Visitors to the Long Grass
Thanks, folks. The lawn is now back to normal length for October. It's also full of weeds from all those seeds which set during the summer months. It isn't just bugs and beasties that flourished when the grass was long... a nice warmth to the light too! Thanks to the low sun for that. And even in...

Cosmos
Also not what I was expecting from the title but nonetheless a very classy shot. I like the composition and choice of point to focus on, peeking through the petals.

Autumn time again
'nithering'? I am intrigued. :) Yorkshire expression. in English, blooming cold, freezing, invigorating etc etc It were definitely nithering in Doncaster on Saturday. A word that Paul Hudson the BBC Look North weatherman takes great delight in slipping into his forecast. Also a word that my late...

Autumnal IOOF
Desparately looking for some nearby foliage with decent autumnal colours, the only tree that seemed to have much was the young 'un in my neighbour's front garden. So with low sun illuminating the tree, the Tamron 500mm mirror lens went on the K3iii and was focussed on the leaves. They were definitel...

Autumnal walk
Thanks for all the kind comments - it was so good to get back "seeing" again 8) It is so dismal when you can't get into that groove - but when you can .... you just demonstrated it.

Alternative Autumn Walk
I often process images in a variety of "styles" but always dial back when uploading to my usual look - I'm interested to hear opinions on my alternative images, they take a lot of experimentation and effort and I'm now happy enough to show them. Please be honest, don't hold back or try to be gen...

Foggy morning with the K-3 and K 28mm f/2
Last week we had a couple of foggy mornings and one of them I grabbed the K-3 and K series 28mm f/2 to take some shots as I cross the park on my way to the metro station. The fog had left a nice dew over all the greenery. I hadn't used the K-3 with a manual lens for ages and I enjoyed it a lot and...

Foggy morning with the K-3 and K 28mm f/2
You've captured the "look" of that legendary lens particularly with the first shot - those beautiful subtle colours coupled with the lovely out of focus areas are so good. They do seem very slightly soft though! None of the dew beads on the webs have that crispness that some of your other shots from...

River Colne, Wivenhoe, Essex
Visited Wivenhoe a few weeks back and took some photos. These were all teken late afternoon after the recent storms which caused localised flooding in Essex. Enjoy and thanks for looking.:D

Late Autumn
It's daylight from the kitchen window onto the table, with a little reflected balance from a heet of notepaper & an out of focus illustration. Cheers, Roger.

Seen at a wedding.
So there I was, expecting to see an embarrassing faux pas by the best man ... I think I can see what you're going for, so a couple of hopefully constructive comments. - My eye is drawn to the knot/top of the bow but sharpest focus seems to be at the bottom of the bow and foliage. I'd pref...

Lone Survivor.
Sharp focus on the important part with such beautifully natural colour - it's funny how much time we can take to make something look as we saw it :P
