Cant wait to get my Ricoh GR back again - Here are some pics - Hello again!
Excellent work as always. Perhaps one or two after oversaturated for my taste but I'm viewing on my phone when I'd normally visit the forum from my laptop, so maybe just the screen difference. Good to see you back on the forum.

Scarlet Pimpernel
More from groping around in the weed-ridden undergrowth. A shaft of light illuminated the flower in an otherwise unlit area under rhubarb leaves (I kid you not). This is one weed that I'd be happy to have more of but unfortunately it doesn't seem to like my soil (unlike bindweed :evil:). ...

Re-Worked Heart Nebula
The image I posted on the gallery of the Heart Nebula was bugging me... it is a bit false to me.... So I went back and completely re-worked it. This seems more real and pleasing to my eye.

Orford Ness in Mono
Excellent, apart from the fact these are very good, back when the world was new, Orford Ness lighthouse used to flash through my bedroom window, I was about 7 years of age. Great memories of a happy time. Thanks.

Ornamental gourds
I totally understand what those squashes have done/are doing to your garden. Exactly the same happened to me last year when I grew butternut squashes. Even after following Monty Don's advice on Gardeners' World to cut back the runners once the fruit was growing so all the energy would go into the fr...

El Galeón Andalucía sails into Plymouth today.
That's an impressive vessel - I can imagine that's how it looked back in the day 8)

Yesterday's Walk.
Great view!! But if ya dunna mind me saying.... I would've closed it down a step or two, let the polariser do its job. In other words... try taking the polariser off, then meter the shot. Then stick the polariser back on, and shoot. You would then accent and get more definition of the clouds....

Yesterday's Walk.
If you want a bit less fiddling about then try taking a photo at the camera recommended setting then use the EV compensation feature to drop down by -0.7 and another at -1.7 - you'll end up with 3 images that you can compare and decide which suits your eye best ;) Don't forget to reset the EV compe...

Passion . . . .
Passion Flower liberated from our garden. The image was focus merged (stacked) in Affinity Photo2 from various images taken with different manually focussed points at f13 with Pentax K-3iii and 16-85mm lens and a 40 year old SLIK 88 tripod! RAW files processed with Dx0 PureRaw2 before merging. It...

Brownsea Flora
3 6 and 7 my fav's. There's something about monochrome - is it K-3 3 monochrome that's brought black and white into focus?

Scouting Woodland Walk
Popped out earlier with my son for a quick scouting mission on a woods not to far from me. We were literally there for circa an hour walking around. I've shot there before but it's pretty large and there are various roads that lead to different parts of it so this was virgin territory for me. As it ...

Who needs AI sharpening...
Thanks. What did you do? 1. Choose the day. Overcast, 100% cloud, very diffuse light, no shadows - but bright. 2. Choose the lens. From past experience I knew that the FA77 with a short tube could do this sort of thing. For the ultimate in sharpness I'd have used a macro lens. 3. Choose a fair...

First walk out with KP and 40mm Pancake
I haven‘t posted a new set for ages, been a bit lazy! I grabbed my new to me KP and DA 40mm on the way back from the shops and took these as a first attempt. It‘s such a lightweight and interesting combo, I think it‘ll be a permanent fixture in my work bag. by , on Flickr by , on F...
