Frosty viaduct and shoreline images
Popped out with the dog earlier to stretch his legs at Porthkerry Park. We walked the length of the field in the frost and then shot a few images from the shoreline before coming back to the van. By the time we had started walking back, the frost had gone so we just caught it. Images of the shor...

Iris and Trioplan
The sun was out a few days back and so was Mrs. Wozhere so I grabbed her bowl of spring irises and took them outside. I also took my Pentax mounted 105mm Trioplan that I had rescued from a scrap folding camera and put that on the K1. I think the original medium format was 5cm x 4cm - somewhat ...

First Shots with K3III
Is it my eyes or is the Japonica out of focus?

First Shots with K3III
Is it my eyes or is the Japonica out of focus? It's the tip of the stamen that is in focus, not quite clear with the resolution of the website. The petals were deliberately out of focus.

A walk around Malham in the Yorkshire Dales
Day 2 of my trip out was around Malham. Another lovely sunny day and far too much to post in one go, so first up concentrates on water. K3 + DA 16-85. Please feel free to comment, as always. 1 The approach to Janet's Foss ... 2 3 ... which is this waterfall 4 5 On to Gordale Scar .....

A walk around Malham in the Yorkshire Dales
Again a place I know well and some great shots to remind of walks I've done around there. A good time of year to go with not many people about and a no leaves on the trees obscuring Malham Cove. For me I like the shot of Gordale Scar and number 6 looking back at the Scar. You weren't tempted to t...

Back to the Crags
No. 6 for me. I also like the depth of colour in no. 7 and no. 9. Some of the others don't seem to me to have the same depth of colour / sharpness. Maybe some more contrast / colour in post(?) Plus, confirms for me yet again what a cracking lens the 28 - 105 is in the hands of someone who 's...

Back to the Crags
A good set and a good point above regarding contrast. I like number 7 (with an adjustment to vertical perspective to make the trees as near upright as possible). I also like the direction of the light in number 1 (with the image for me being the three trees to the right of the silver birch tree tr...

You are blessed to have such beautiful scenery on your doorstep. Totally agree - I find it hard to pick favourites from your sets, simply because they almost take me on your walks enjoying the surroundings and views so much 8) 8)

Looking forward to the Summer.....
We are due to fly back to Corfu on 11th March, to prepare our apartments for the coming season, with lots of guests booked in already. However, I'm really looking forward to the photo opportunities that this beautiful island will bring and have been looking back at what I took last year. This prom...

Looking forward to the Summer.....
Thank you all for your comments and input. I love photographing the butterflies and other wildlife on Corfu, especially in May and June when they are at their most abundant. If you walk up into the hills in NE Corfu at this time of the year, you will be amazed at the sounds and smells, it is liter...

K120/2.8
For February's "Single in..." challenge on the US Fora I decided to use my K120. I bought this a few years back as part of my K-primes collection, but looking back through my archive it appears that I had rarely used it. I was using it on my K-3iii, whereas previously I had used it on film. I w...

Cool selfie Kris. Best regards Took some doing with a 120mm manual focus lens... a lot of toing and froing. I bounced the flash off the ceiling which seems to have worked. It won't win the Taylor Wessing but it fulfilled the "selfie" challenge day. Cheers, Kris.

First impressions of a 60 years old Tair 300.
As many of the reviews say, it's a heavy brute and I certainly wouldn't use it for walkabouts but it sits nicely on a sturdy tripod and this copy is an excellent performer. All of these were taken using an IR remote with a 3 second delay. It is surprising how long it can take for the micro vibrati...
