I get "Black and White Photography" magazine which doesn't seem to suffer this bias as much as perhaps some others. This month, a runner up in the portfolio section uses a K10D with th...

No fleabay bargains today
After bidding on several Zeiss Sonnar 135/3.5's (and not being prepared to pay very much money for one, so losing out every time) I finally won one for the princely sum of £26.00. The description was poor (as was the photo) and I only spotted it with less than an hour to go so had no time to ask ...

No fleabay bargains today
I'm waiting for the weather to pick up a bit - can't muster any enthusiasm for outdoors and it's not really an indoors-y sort of lens (although it does focus down to 1m). 135mm does seem quite a nice length on digital though, I can now see the appeal of the DA*50-135 better than I could before ...

Pentax Focus Screen just £12 plus postage
Well I'd like to split postage but by the time you've actually posted it to me I suspect the saving might be minimal. Then again it might only be 70 pence or so to post in UK. Email direct if you like [email protected] - as it happens I'm in Barcelona at the end of the week but I doubt that helps a...

Pentax Focus Screen just £12 plus postage
what's the advantage with these screens ? apart from composition lines and being nice and new? Do they serve some other function? are they designed for manual focussing or something?

Pentax Focus Screen just £12 plus postage
No they don't serve any other function. LF-60 is the standard screen that comes with the camera - to buy to replace a damaged one. LL-60 and LI-60 are the same but with different markings: http://homepage.mac.com/godders/ds-focus-screen.jpg For manual focusing: www.katzeyeoptics.com/cat--Penta...

Raw
Hi there, and welcome to the forum! I am not familiar with the software you mention, but my guess is that it is designed to edit JPG images as one might obtain from a point and shoot camera. The Raw images your DSLR produces contain more data than a JPG, and are often not supported by more basic ...
