JESSOPS to Close

Does this mean Jessops are cutting back on outlets again? Or are they just 'consolidating' there position? If they were competative on price and carried a better range they may not be in this position

flying with one wing

It is undoubtedly a fake. Hilarious, but impossible. What was absolutely not a fake, however, was when Neil Williams, one-time British National Aerobatic champion, back in the 70s, had been practising in his . His wing broke, and the wing started to fold upwards. With extraordinary pres...

flying with one wing

Well I fly recreationally, have done for many years, and I've always been interested in most aspects of aviation. But as I say, I may have to eat some of my words, such as "completel...

flying with one wing

It is impossible to control a plane that has lost the whole wing. It starts spinning immediately, and no amount of opposite aileron/rudder will be able to counteract the spin. You lose the whole wing, you go from fly by wire to fly by prayer. I'm sure that's true if you're travelling fast enough for...

To lose the wing at the top of a turn means that he's already flying at a high angle of attack, with the consequently high g that snaps off the wing. So the large force that's still on the other wing is likely to flick it instantly into a spin, which wouldn't be recoverable. If by some miracle...

Baby Photography

Another good tip is to get one of the baby's favourite toys in the picture, they will be more relaxed and it gives them something to do. Eye contact is not essential, however having one of the parents stand behand you to attract their attention is good. I have found that maintaining some distanc...

Ordering back issues

Somewhere I read that one can buy four back issues of the Pentax Magazine for GBP 12.00. Is there a way of ordering these online, paying by credit card? I would like to have no's 4-07 to 3-08, inclusive, but could not find any reference to order forms.

Ordering back issues

Hi Terry, don't worry about the country, select UK. On the item itself select postage for Europe and put in the comments box later on that you want them sending to Norway.
