Ordering back issues
Just an update to tell you that the magazines arrived today - that is three days after ordering! Not bad at all. But then they were sent by airmail.:D

Ordering back issues
Enjoy your reading Terje! Should keep you quiet for a while  I suspect they go there so quick because they were a special order, not the usual bulk mailing of the normal edition.

Ordering back issues
I'll sure enjoy reading, but no so much as to keep me from this excellent forum :D. Maybe back-ordering is the right approach? The postage was £3.00 for the four magazines. Not too bad, compared to Norwegian postage rates.

Ordering back issues
I can assure you the next issue of the magazine will also be sent by Airmail, as we said we hadn't realised the printers were sending out by Surface mail. We thought they were just putting enough post on to send to UK, not realising there were magazines to go abroad. So three days will be the target...

New toy
I thought some of you might be interested in my latest toy. As it isn't Pentax I have posted it here rather than in the kit section... I hope you will all forgive me but Pentax doesn't make this sort of thing. I haven't had a chance to use it in anger yet, but the plan is to use it to photograph ...

Fantastic piece of kit. For serious architecture you need this sort of camera as it not only enables correct verticals but the plane of focus can be adjusted too - all to much greater extents than any tilt shift lens on an SLR can Good luck Bob

New toy
In my former job, where I did some product photography, we sometimes hired a professional photographer from Oslo. He used the Sinar large-format camera, similar to the Horseman. It never stopped amazing me to watch this guy tilting and shifting the front and back plates to get just the right pers...

New toy
Guess you can call off the hunt for that 28mm shift now then? Yup, that lens is now on the back burner. Nice camera anyway - what lens(es) did you get with it? It came with a 210mm lens (equivalent of a c. 90mm on 35mm) which is not really what I need. I am now looking for something in th...

new website
The good news is that your site looks fairly nice and uses well-formed, standards compliant HTML. However, you mention you have had little traffic from search engines which is unsurprising since you have done little in the way of search engine optimisation (SEO). As such there is plenty of low...

Low light-night photography in London in Dec
Using a tripod isn't an offence, obstructing a public highway is though. Use your common sense and if challenged by an over-zealous police officer be polite and explain what you're doing, back down if need be and you'll live to shoot another day (or 10 minutes later when he's gone). If ...

I'm not generally given to liking this sort of thing but these quotes are really quite interesting and sensible. In particular we might like to focus on Photography has not changed since its origin except in its technical aspects, which for me are not important. - Henri Cartier-Bresson ...

mmmmm...all my worrying about 'wee free memory cards' does seem a trifle unimportant when you take in the bigger picture for small businesses etc. Over brekkie I did realise that as a surfer and a tight fisted jock even I :shock:will pay a bit over the odds to support a couple of Norfolk surfshops a...
