Who are the people who post items for sale in the classified ads under the Shop (rather than Forum) header?

Most have no history, no posts, have only posted to sell the item and there is no info about them. To me it seems a dodgy way to buy.

On the other hand for the adds under the Forum Classified section you can see their history, how long they've been a member, if they've bought/sold and get a good idea as to their trustworthiness.

It just seems odd to me.

I must admit I'm really enjoying mine, bought recently from SRS for more than this.

It's giving me some really good shots at the longer focal length.

I'm glad that you've got it (mostly) sorted, that did look pretty bad.

Currently trialing ACDsee Pro 9, it Works without any computer glitches.
Still like Faststone as a browser.

I'll now have to give RAW a go.

This has been a good read for me. I've been 'trusting' the WR of my K-S2 and WR lenses - and this feature was the primary reason for choosing Pentax - but I'll now actually trust a bit more!

So thanks.

As a recently 'returned to photography' person as well, I'm just loving this camera.

I used to be into SLR photography in a big way then got fed up with the weight of everything so went down the compact camera route. After many years I got fed up with the compromises involved with compact cameras - don't get me wrong, they're great for many uses - so investigated the DSLR cameras now around.

One of my main criteria was that it be robust with weather resistance. With that criteria you are looking at very expensive (for me) full frame cameras, or bridge cameras with smaller sensors. There were some other camera body alternatives, but to get a matching weather resistant lens you had to spend more than I wanted to.

So it came down to Pentax with their good range of WR lenses and bodies. After a lot of research I plumped for the K-S2 and have not regretted it. It has amazing flexibility in setting it up and I love having two dedicated user set photo settings, I've got mine set up for landscape and sport.

I know that many people have a poor experience with the Pentax app, but for me it works perfectly. I've also just started to experiment with the astrotracer, that also works well and opens up a whole new world of photography.

Well I've tried the full trial version of Silkypix and have similar problems - plus I just do not like it, it's too complicated for me.

For the moment, Faststone works fine and does what I want.

Please don't undermine selling threads by pointing people elsewhere. The better way is to drop the OP a PM to advise of any price discrepancy as they will then be able to adjust their price if they so wish.

In the end though, sellers can ask whatever they want for an item. Please make offers by all means.
Sorry, my error.
