Sounds like a case of FGF?

Fast Glass Fever.

Only cure is acquisition followed by bankruptcy.

Ouch.

So my LBA illness has gotten worse then... oh dear.

Hrm, I really have no idea what I want to do with this lens. I think that's kind of my problem as I think about the great shots I can take and then keep getting annoyed that it's not wide enough, or long enough to do the next thing that pops into my head.

I guess my ideal lens would be something like a 14-400mm f1.4 with SDM or HSM that weighs less than a kg. Oh, I'd like it to be cheap as well, say less than 600GBP would do just fine.

So I'm really really getting addicted to having fast glass. I'm now looking at upgrading my zoom collection with either a

- Pentax DA* 50-135mm
- Sigma 70-200mm f/2.8 DG Macro HSM II
- Sigma 50-150mm f/2.8 EX DC HSM II

If there was a 50-200mm f2.8 I'd be a happy man, but alas, there isn't. Anyone tried out two or more of these bad boys and is able to comment on IQ / usability on them?

All PM's responded too. Lens still for sale.

I'll include shipping costs so first 215GBP gets it.

Hrm, no takers yet, kinda surprised. I saw in the other thread that their lens went for 220GBP and not the 225GBP that I thought ... So price reduced to 215GBP + shipping or very close next offer.

Just as a FYI, the marks that your seeing are smaller than a human hair, it's just the joy of having a marco lens which makes it look worse - I didn't even notice there were marks prior to posting the picture!

Anyway, this will get sent to some auction site next week if there is still no interest.

EDIT: Woo, 100th post!

Hi Emma,
What software and version of, do you use for your photo editing?
I'm interested in the plug-in you used there. That's a brilliant rendition of the original image.

I take criticism well, please keep it coming! This is kind of like going to photography school for me so thanks for all the suggestions / reviews (critical or not).

So how bout this one then? It's the sky from one of the frames just squished into this one. I need to touch up my feathering between the sky and the building, but it's almost there. Went back to the castle in the first one but added a burn on the right & bottom of the castle as well as the grass to give it more character.

Thoughts? Too bright now? This HDR stuff is murder!

Edit: Made it darker which I think might be better

Yeah, the sky colour is much nicer now. However, not sure what I think of the red-boost I did for the castle. What say others?

Wow, didn't notice that spot till you pointed it out. Also for some reason I thought that was the sun/moon, turns out it was indeed a blown out white cloud. Changed the saturation on the clouds and added a red-boost for the building. Alright, attempt 2!
