Hrm, yeah I figured that was the case. However, I just finally figured out how to change my latex code - had to convert the latex metafont into an image and then I could set the size. Woot!

Hey hey - another one of us poor fools! I'm submitting my thesis tomorrow morning at 9am - I just finished corrections from my supervisor today.

Best of luck on the move and the job hunt. When I've gotten all of my papers signed off I'm driving to Amsterdam to try to erase the pain from the past 4 years of doctoral work

I've got a 150 page PDF document, and I need help doing something. What I want is REAL simple - I just want to change the size of the logo on the first page.

Tools: I've got Photoshop, but I don't have acrobat professional. Is there a way to do this is photoshop - as when I try it only lets me load one page and then save it as a psd/pdf and not inside the original pdf document.

I think that makes sense - my brain is completely shot.

Yeah the 2.2 version is the first one where things are looking as good / if not better than the iPhone. I'd say that 2.2 is better than the 3GS but TBD on how it compares to the OS4 which is coming out for the new iPhone.

Well I got a sigma 1.4x TC the other day, so I guess this deal is done. I'll probably be putting her up for sale sometime next week after I hand in my thesis.

Well I'm going against the grain here and taking the google phone. I'm not in need of music, but more of an organizational device + phone. It just somehow seems more geeky, aka - me. That, and I was working on my mac today and it crashed. Twice. Yay! No flash either, but I suppose HTML5 will catch on sometime in the future.

I dunno, I'll let you all know how I get on with it.

It's shitty timing because I'd love an iPhone 4G, but they're just not ready to order!! Boo! But yeah, those are the two I've narrowed it down to in terms of my preference.

The K7 is a great camera. At the moment it's the flagship Pentax dSLR. The Pentax K-X is another option if you want to have good high-iso performance.

Other than that, your two lenses will work great on any dSLR. Just remember the crop factor though, so your 28-90 will be equivalent to a 42-135mm and the other is a 120-480mm on digital. That means you'll be lacking a lot on the wide end of things. You can pick up a 18-55mm kit lens on this forum from time to time for less than 50 quid though.

Welcome back to the forum!
