If I have to take a photograph of any pentax gear i'm selling say on e-bay I use a pentax Optio 750z - It only cost a few quid and is perfect for this kind of thing! I have been a Pentax user for thirty years and If my wife or I needed to purchase a compact for any reason it would have to be a Pentax! - So the answer is simple - Get yourself a little Pentax Optio!

Hi Gwyn,
Just had a look at the Tamrac 5 and it looks good. There's a guy selling an unused one on e-bay for £59 and he only lives a few miles away!
Other choice might be a Lowepro slingshot 302aw which seems to be big enough.
I'm guessing its going to be quite heavy all in one bag like you say but still seems better than carrying seperate bags for the Sigma!

Hi Guys,
I need a bit of advice on which camera bag to buy as I have just found out that none of my existing bags are big enough to fit my gear anymore. The thing is, I have just bought a nice Sigma bigma and would like to be able to take this with me to Silverstone along with the K20d with 18-250mm plus grip fitted and af540fgz. Any ideas on say a large shoulder bag.
Cheers,
Duncan.

Hi Gareth,
Sigma 50-500mm arrived safe and sound today - Had a bash already and I'm very pleased with it.
Many thanks, I'm a happy chappie!

Duncan.

I don't blame you for keeping the MZ7 - I still use mine - sometimes with the 1.4 50mm. It's a great little camera!
Good luck selling the rest!

Well thank you guys for all your thoughts and comments on the subject - I have managed to find out that the guy was in fact a pedestrian that got hit by a push-bike. Turns out he's ok and only suffered some minor cuts etc.
I can understand that people can be passionate in their views on the subject and it has been interesting reading through the posts. I suppose what some people see as distastefull photography can also be seen as otherwise. I look at the Sunday times supplement and some of the pictures are not always technical but can still be haunting and verging on the side of bad taste.
The photographs I took are not that technical - I usually leve the camera on "green point and shoot" for situations were I might need to just "click" That said - There are concerned faces, busy police and the very things that might make a photograph interesting.
Many thanks,
Duncan.

Well - We were driving along in a line of traffic on a main road towards Torquay and I notice a cyclist flying through the air and ploughs into a keep-left bollard. All trafic stops and wife gets out to phone for an ambulance. I'm staring at the poor dude and all the people trying to help him and then realise I have the K20d in the car - So I sheepishly get it out and roll down the window, sit the lens on the ledge(Cos i'm shaking a bit!)Fire off a few frames sharpish and put the camera away. Police turn up, wife gets back in the car and we're on our way.
When I told the wife that I took some photos she was quite angry and said stuff to me!
I really hope the poor guy is ok but he really didn't look too well at the roadside.
My dillema is this - Would I be a bastard to put a couple of the photos on say flickr? ( Lens was the mighty 18-250mm so the're quite graphic) I think if the guy didn't make it I wouldn't but any thoughts would be much apprieciated.
Cheers,
Duncan.

Hi Phill,
I'm afraid to say that Lloydy's right - SHOES!!
When it comes to a pair of shoes the wife can spend about the same as a camera body without even blinking!
If you encourage her to buy a nice pair of christian Laboutins then you can store up the balance and use the spare points at a later date.
I'm lucky - the wife buys loads so my virtual points balance is quite good!
Hope this advice helps

Good luck,
Duncan.

Thanks for the help with this guys, after reading some of the massive amount of information on the subject on the forum i'm going to lean towards a more "manual" camera and flash combination!
I'll give it a bash this week.
Thinking back - I mostly used the af540fgz with the k20d set at 1100-1600 iso and had no problems - Last weekend however I took a lazy approach and stuck it in "point an shoot" and it seems the problems started because of this!

Many thanks again,
Duncan.
